@Tago-Mago They’re ridiculously hard to come by in the States, specifically the NYC area. It’s definitely my special occasion rum and since you’re drinking some, that’s special enough for me!

@Jett129 Is it something I can find in Jamaica? I’m heading there next month for our 25th wedding anniversary and want to bring back a good/great rum for the occasion.

            Any recommendations?

@goosehd Foursquare is from Barbados,so I don’t know if you’ll find it in Jamaica. I’ve enjoyed some of the older Appleton Rums, and this one is pretty good.A133406A-125A-4F75-BE6A-5C3D54FA6DC8.jpeg

@goosehd besides @Jett129 's recommendations you could try Hampden if you want something to sip. If you're looking for a mixer Wray & Nephew

Definitely looking for a sipping rum and appreciate the recommendations. I’m hoping they have a decent duty free on the trip back with a good selection. When we left Turks and Caicos we didn’t buy anything due to us having a layover in the States that would have caused us to pay taxes on it when we got back…

I'll add another vote for anything Hampden being one of my favorite rums. But most Jamaican rums are also my favorite right next to agricole from Martinique.

Not from Jamaica but if you're in the market for some crazy shit I'd go for a Clairin from Haiti. Also +1 for the rhum agricole mention

Manhattan with Vermouth (Chazalettes della Regina), orange skin and ice.. it’s a groundhog drink to me 😂

@goosehd Where in Jamaica will you be? Depending on your locale, you might be able to visit a local liquor store and get a few bottles to put in your checked luggage. I usually bring some bubble wrap with me if I’m going somewhere, like Louisville, where I expect to bring some bottles back with me.

Wasn’t sure if it was worth it or not…have you been to the falls near there?

@GraemeE Went to their website, looks interesting. Being 70% corn and also being rested in wine barrels,I would expect it to be sweet and maybe fruity. They don’t say anywhere how long it’s been aged for. I would like to try it. Keep my eye out for it.

@Jett129 the bourbon I'm having tonight is only 6 months in pinot barrels but it's fairly smooth without being overly sweet
Not quite bonded strength but 47% has a satisfying bite
