Yeah @Nik that was an issue for me on the first league I did but I ultimately relented and got a free account. I have to do my “research” elsewhere and then find the songs in Spotify and grab the links there but you can participate without paying anything but privacy.

I love Spotify. We have the family account and it’s paid for ten times over every month. Admittedly I turn a blind eye to their questionable business practices but what are you gonna do?

Yeah. The girls listen to podcasts non stop and they don’t need a data plan on their phones to use it. Still holding out on that.

Similarly, I have a family bundle for Apple so use Apple Music... Which I have found I actually love. We have a couple of Atmos-capable speakers, so the Spatial Audio is cool on those, and the high fi is appreciated wherever we are listening. They also have a cool lyric feature that they have exclusively for a few years.

I'm sure Spotify is great as well but I am surprised by how much I enjoy Apple, even if it slightly complicates participating in this game.

When each round completes, I will update here and include a link to the playlist so that non-participants can enjoy the fun. I expect some really great playlists out of this crew.

Thanks for organising @mclaincausey id never seen one of these. I can tell it’s gonna be fun as there’s already lots of overlap in terms of musical tastes between forum members, and it’s a great way to discover new music from similarly minded people
