IHDR-502-OLV - 11oz Cotton Whipcord Cargo Pants - Olive

@spitfiredealer speaking to the 888 in general, If I went TTS (w34) then a 13.2" thigh and 9" knee would look baggier than what @Alex is wearing. For me that would be a standard relaxed thigh measurement. If I went w33, which I could wear comfortably but would have to wear higher up, I would get than slimmer look.
Otherwise @browniemcghee is right about whipcord being used on the N-1's. It is a tight weave using heavy gauge yarns, so not a lot of airflow and decent insultation. One of the features of the N-1 is that is however there is also a windproof lining in those which adds to the warmth and insulating properties. That ios not present here.
@Seul can probably advise you as he has a few pairs of the whipcord work pants, but I would guess these are October-March trousers in a British climate.

How are these even still available 20 minutes after live… People had been asking for tapered cargos for YEARS.

Come on in @neph93 - the water is right

The joy of living minutes from the source!
Down and dirty fit pics: size 32 (my usual 555 size) I could have gone 33 never 31–the waist is my limiting factor.
Amazing handfeel on these--feels softer/more broken in than the type III--(pre washed?)Love the details: one copper snap on cargo pockets, brass rivets on the slash pockets, clean backside (no snaps or buttons), knees almost feel articulated--assuming this is due to 'knee area panels'.
Roomy enough to get low, but look far from frumpy/voluminous.Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

Fit looks good.
How does the waist feel? Any give at all? You think the 33 would have been better? I'm torn btw 32 vs 33. -
My waist is kinda tight in the 32s. Either ask for biggest sized pair in your low range or smallest in your big. And remember as Neph wrote, stretch will be negligible!

I've not purchased cargoes in forever but these are very tempting. Sizing is different on the DR site so I'll just go with IH since it's a known quantity for me…
Debating between the largest waist 34 or smallest 36.

Smart move - the IH measuring process is time proven!
FWIW I sized up and ask for the smallest waist.. I knew I wanted extra movement in the top block, and the ability to tuck shirts in [emoji1690]

Damn now you have me second-guessing myself @Appfaff ! Lol
I am aiming for a more streamlined look so concerned that rest of the 36 measurements would be a bit baggy. But now the idea of being able to tuck in shirts is stuck in my head. :-\

Didn’t mean to throw you off!
I have the 888 cut as well as multiple chino cuts and know that even though I can go TTS (or evening size down) for a slim look, the higher rise, and the way it sits on my hips means tucking shirts in doesn’t work as well… but that’s my body type - and the knee / leg opening didn’t change much from my TTS to size up.
I’m sure you could go either way,
And going TTS is going to be best for most people wearing untucked shirts I am sure.If I were to wear these strictly with heavy shirts and jackets I would have gone TTS and expected a little stretch

I pulled the trigger on a tts 36! Hoping for the largest thigh possible, as I still want them to be comfy. Hope I made the right choice. I thought about sizing up to 38 to be sure and get that roomy thigh I’m after, but I don’t want too much gapping at the waist.
We’ll see!
