Correct. Not a full on workshirt, though. Keeping the snaps and flap pockets would be preferable. Although, straight flaps would likely better fit the design.

And if I'm going to tweak stuff, I'd like to minimize the changes to reduce likelihood of a screw-up....

I have an IHSH-184. So, I have first hand knowledge of that design. I certainly understand the aversion to tweaking stuff. My initial inquiry was not necessarily meant to question only the possibility of changes, but more to find whether a stand alone non-western option was being considered.

I will say this, the thought of the removal of the front yoke does increase the odds I may order one. Although, that may not mean much, when there was likely no chance, before. But, if the version I described earlier, or something like it, were to be brought to fruition, the chance becomes a given.

How do the hide look like without the black dying ? Like the brown one one the pictures ?
If the brown is the original color from the hide , I would prefer it !! Maybe it’s possible to get it undyed
so it looks like the on from Haraki right from the start.

It looks better with the black in the beginning, and it looks perfect with the brown later.
Ok nobody sees it when wearing, but it’s a nice detail to make the shirt even more special.

Oh, that's not deerskin. It's suede.  It's definitely, definitely suede.  Hot Ingrid can't hate suede, can she?
