Casual Blazers to go with Selvedge Denim
-
I'm looking for some Blazers that I can wear for the office and that I can pair it with my Selvedge denims. I guess a Blazer with the raw denim would give me that semi formal look which is pretty okay for me at office. But I do not want the Blazer to look so formal which kind of destroys the whole look. Something like a soft-tweed Blazer would do fine. Are there any recommendations? Any ideas?

Engineered Garments makes a few. Pricey but quality pieces. Mister Freedom also makes some sharp looking blazers.

I would definitely go unstructured for that look. For example

@adam313:
I'm still dreaming on an IH overdyed or superblack selvedge two-button blazer!

Those IMO are all fantastic and meant to be styled with jeans.
The first option might pick up some of the indigo hues with that windowpane pattern, so it gets my vote, but I don't think you could go wrong.

I have exactly 1 that i wear with my denim, It's made by Scalpers and woven in Portugal (they don;t sell it in the U.S., I purchased mine in France.
Not that you are going to gravitate toward this brand, but olive works very well with dark raws.good luck in the search.

Won't the gray or biege be contrasty compared to the blue?

You are correct. I went ahead and ordered one! Let me see how it fits once it arrives. I will keep posted! If it works out, then I will probably get 2 or 3 more and this along with my raw selvedge denims will cater to my office wear for the next couple of years!

I’m a big fan of the look. Wish i had occasion to do it more often. Imho shirt must be tucked in.

Nigel Cabourn does a white packable Ventile blazer. It's not cheap, but is currently half price.

Community Clothing in the UK do an unstructured cotton blazer in navy and khaki. I have one of each. Good value, made in the UK.

Anyone have any good recs for an unstructured sport coat? I need something that can make me look a little more professional when wearing casual clothes, and thought that this would be a nice option. The Saturday Type Fever jacket would be a good option, but they're sold out everywhere.
I've been looking at Mister Freedom's Continental jacket, but the top button has me a little puzzled. Wondering if I folded the lapels enough if it would function like a 3 button jacket and not look weird.

@seawolf I don't have a good picture of me wearing it readily available right now but I've been wearing a MF continental jacket for years. The lapels definitely fold over and it has a more "regular" blazer look to it! I've worn the full suit to a bunch of weddings and semi formal events. To my memory the fourth button get's kind of hidden in the fold and doesn't really stick out too much.

@seawolf i have 1 of these in linen\cotton herringbone that I really enjoy and am able to pass off as "business casual" at work when the need arises
