We have reached the year 2013.
Again, we visited Bread and Butter in Berlin. However, I recalled that tradeshows was not our only focus during the trip. From the picture archives, we were in Berlin, Hamburg and Gosport.
Was it the first Fish n Chips event at Gosport?
I dont even remember which hotel we stayed in Gosport for that trip.
But I do remember the beautiful weather, the idyllic port and the good people.

There were many highlights in our story in 2013. Apart from the Europe travels, we moved to our 'Dream Workshop' along Bali Lane (same cluster within the Malay district in Singapore).
It was a 2-storey with mezzanine pre-war conservation shophouse. We occupied the whole unit and curated our workshop and retail into the one and only in Singapore that year.We were very proud of this set up and naturally, this new venue attracted some of the biggest crowd in our history. Other than our first shop, we have forged greater friendships in 2013. And we would like to think that, we have created a community instead of a plain retail shop.

Apart from Europe and USA, we ventured in China in 2013.
As Singaporean, we are fluent in English and Mandarin, so communication was not difficult. However, with Mandarin proficiency, it was not easy to make business right away. We spent a few years understanding the government policies, and the way to do business.
Fortunately, we had some true friends who helped us constantly.
Very soon, we were in the circle of the denim activists in China.

The year was 2015, after we got Europe and China on-going, we went to Japan this year. It was the Clutch Collection Show (CC Show), where you see a cool brand line-up you normally see on the Japanese magazine like, Lightning, Free n Easy…
Organized by Clutch Magazine from Japan, we exhibited in CC Show, first time in Japan. We used Japanese Shinki Shell Cordovan that year, part of the reason for Japanese market. But in the end, our Shell Cordovan leather goods sold more outside of Japan...
Shanghai Fashion Week
Well, yes! This year, we exhibited in Shanghai Fashion Week too. It was an invitation from a China brand who was consolidating a few niche brand for an area to ourselves. We were glad we fit in.
Without much expectation, the show was surprisingly good in terms of Obbi Good Label's exposure. Additionally, we enjoyed the city. It is a great metropolis.

Continuing 2015, we attended SR as the third tradeshow for the year. We worked hard to showcase our staple collections like Hobo Bags, Condor wallets.
In this year, we are still focusing alot on small leather goods. But with plans to expand into bags, which you can see in the coming years.

Following on is updates from 2016.
We moved again to a new location, with a front retail/showroom and back leather workshop concept.
We did most of the renovation and building ourselves, not because we are artistic, but to save money…
But I seriously thought we did quite well.
A small gathering with the friends and customers during the official opening. With food definitely.

Clutch Magazine visited.
Another important highlight in 2016 was our development and released of our new leather belts - Hand-Dyed Double-Prong Leather Belt.
This image was the first batch of production. There are some improvements since 2016, like edge detailing, underside burnishing and we have discovered the best recipe for the dye.
