I’ll admit, it is an acquired taste… but after three weeks of storm force westerlies and pissing down rain, it’s a blessed relief.

God aye anything but constant rain…………..did some work offshore Norway a few years ago during the summer months and the ever-lasting daylight was something else.

The thing I enjoy is the dynamic nature of the environment, both in terms of light/dark, and the weather. It’s in continual flux, daily and seasonally.

haven't been out that way for a few years now (Statoil days) and hopped around Ekofisk and Ormen Lange for a while.

Snehvit is up the Barents Sea way isn't it...…...quite a lot going on up there I hear right now...……..are you that far North?

.  I think you kind of have to wear 25OZ denim and UHFs,every day,just, to be comfortable.

The artistry of Japanese weavers was too much for it I assume. Excellent.

I’m in Bodø, btw. Not as far north as Snehvit, by a long shot, but still about 150km north of the artic circle. After 20 years here I still forget how much country there is to the north of us. A plane to Oslo takes 90 min from here, but it is also 60min up to Tromsø.

Wow! Great stuff @Matt. Are you a suitable size for any of the items on our current world tours? Seems to me you’d be good at that.

I don’t think so.  That stuff usually runs on the larger side and I  think and I’m more towards the medium range.  We’re actually going to look at an Airstream next weekend so I may be starting a thread sooner rather than later.  Fingers crossed.

Fun Fact on the 252… when security at the museum tell you there’s no pocket knives allowed on the premises and your car is parked a mile away you can stash it in the inside pocket with no trouble after walking outside briefly to pretend you’re walking to the car.
