@Chris @den1mhead @dinobarnesberlin i‘m not going to lie, I was done with summer by the end of July, that was enough for me. I happiest in long trousers and layers.

The older I get–the more I agree with you on that Reueben.

Yeah… what with changing weather patterns we’re not out of the «too damn hot» woods yet, but today was perfect August weather up here. Sunshine, 15C, and a pleasant breeze. Just for my newest kit on my first day back at work.

Slightly more scholarly attire needed today given that the non-management teaching staff were present for the first time, and I was holding meetings. So I put a vest on over my tee [emoji1] Also, it’s plus 20C again [emoji849]

I‘d bet Firefly would rather have olive legs in her stirrups instead of OD indigo.

@motojobobo maybe the Mad Black would be a good fit. These horses don't know what clean is. They're like kids, they just rub their dirt and drool and hair wherever they please.

So here we have a classic denimhead paradox….what is the point of breaking in a pair of jeans made to last for ages, having them develop and fade beautifully, just to give them sack when you buy a new pair?
A denimhead dilemma is, what to do when you want to wear your lovely tan burlap roughouts, but want to avoid them becoming indigo burlap roughouts, as they inevitably will with a new pair of jeans (at least on the shaft).
The solution for me is to take it easy. No rush on the 888-XHS. They’ll see about three wear days a week for a few months then when they start getting ready to be washed I’ll go build a wall in them or spend a weekend carrying wood, get the evo going.
In the meantime all my other beloved jeans and boots and white shirts will get wear time too. I’ll never be a fade competition guy but I do get to share the love between all my clothes.
