They don't @Giles. In winter they stay close to the hay, and eat almost constantly to stay warm.
They much prefer the cold over the heat. They also produce an incredible amount of heat by simply existing, so unless they are wet, they don't seem bothered by even -20f degrees. and they love riding in the winter if it's not icy. They aren't bothered by bugs or heat.

thanks @neph93 . It's truly a joy to wear. Extremely comfortable out of the gate, and the length is perfect for pocket access when horseback riding.
It makes it much easier to beat up knowing that it doesn't "need" to be clean. You don't leave the farm clean, but i get about 20 wears between washes and rinse/repeat.

That is Firefly @motojobobo and yes she is extremely muscular. But unfortunately it's not because she is worked hard. She came from a champion Quarterhorse bloodline horse named "Impressive", but it turned out he was patient zero of a disease called HYPP that causes, among many things, uncontrolled muscle twitching that give her a very muscular physique.
even with her issues, she is simply my best friend (don't tell the wife or the cat), and has made social distancing, quarantine, isolation, a breeze.

At my job we do research and development for food companies. Lately I've been baking breads for an artisan bakery located in Wisconsin.
We also get to meet food celebrities on occasion. in 2017 i traveled to Boulder, CO and met Justin Gold, the creator of Justin's Nut butters. He started in his apartment in college, and eventually sold his company to Hormel Foods for $150 Million.
