I walked in my front yard to get a fit pic.  Only in Alaska do you get photo bombed by a bull moose [emoji1787].

??? 😃 Holy shit that is awesome! See them in New Hampshire but not in the yard

@MassiveThighs it may be you’re trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. The IH western cut isn’t as fitted and tapered as The Flat Head western cut, but it is still fitted and tapered, designed to follow the contours of the body. Snug but comfortable is the idea.

You mention you’ve bulked up and I guess that means gym work. Sometimes broad shoulders and chest just doesn’t work in westerns. A pretty good argument has been made on this forum that work shirt cuts look better on well built guys. They are slightly roomier over the chest but shorter in arms and body. I bet you’d be very happy with an XL work shirt.

@MassiveThighs The most important thing is that you feel comfortable wearing it. I agree it looks somewhat big but if you think you can make it work then keep it.

@@The_Bourbon_Denim_Guy Love that crazy UHF trifecta with the upgraded snaps! And what a lovely beast photobombing your pic!

            thanks guys.

i think its just the picture i posted and me not snapping the shirt at the top, but the should seams sit perfectly where my shoulders break.  i can layer this heavyweight shirts and still have good range of motion.  after a wash or so i think it will shrink a bit, and im not getting any smaller due to the gym.  really love this flannel and IH itself.

Layering is a lot of fun with an UHF! It gets cold here in Alaska, I’m all about some layering.  #doubleUHF

A real quick pic (soz for the bad lighting) of the shirt after an initial hot soak and tumble dry. The most notable shrinkage was in the back length, sleeve length, and chest (1cm to 1.5cm shrinkage). It's bang on how I like my flannel shirts to fit!

Wow dude. I love the HD copper snaps on those UHF. Especially the sax 207. That might be the first picture I’ve seen of that shirt on a forum member. Well done. I’d kill for a 207 xxxl

Decided to give my XL a boiling hot soak with a nice window air dry. Once it came out of the water i stretched the side seems vertically and carefully stretched the front by buttoning the shirt and pulling in both directions vertically and very carefully in the back. The results were a much better fit in the shoulders, and body, the sleeves tightened up and i finally achieved the length i was after. just thought i'd share in the case anyone else was wondering about soak results!

@AdamJ indeed I did sir! You’ll notice the length of the shirt is longer than the pre soak measurement!!  I was very careful when stretching the shirt vertically to make sure none of the material was overly strained. I’m quite pleased with the results.  😎
