I only created this thread as not to taint the 07 thread. Not a fan of 301's myself but every IH item deserves it's own space. Nice looking jeans redbean!

Agreed, 301 cut = roomy top block
Wonder if a size down on a 301 cut would accomplish this?

sounds good to me so i don`t have to size up too much…

looking for a nice slim-ish pair of denim with a slimmer hem...hem should measure something like 8inch but also with a thigh of 12inch!

so am i ok with the 301 after shrinkage?

I think 301 hem quite smaller than 8… check selfedge.com for numbers

Sorry for late reply, but..

@Finn: I sized up one without realizing that the top block was big lol.  666OD was released like 2 weeks after my purchase, lol.  If I had known about fit, etc. I would have saved the bones, but whatever.
It works out for me; comfy top and a slim leg.  I wear these during winter, anyway, so a little extra room in the butt doesn't bother me that much.

If you want an OD and want to size up while keeping a snug-ish top block, go for 666.
If you want to stay TTS w/ a skinny-ish leg, go 301sBK

well i already own the 666Sod but i sized up and the topblock is perfect atm but i want a bit of a slimmer leg so that`s why i asked…So the 301 in generell would be the way to go for me?

Stingray, you should definitely start wearing it more. The ODed process is pretty interesting it would be great if we can compare fading and so on. Plus, this thread is like a ghost town…

I got one of the last pairs when I visited Self Edge this summer.  I wasn't planning on buying anything but these fit so perfectly that I couldn't pass them up.  They are size 31, the same as my 643s, but I much prefer the fit of the top block and the skinny legs on the 301.

My RJBs still have lots of life in them so these will probably stay in the closet for at least a year.

I plan to sell my almost-new 634s since they wouldn't get any wear for a very long time.  A sale thread will be made soon, but let me know if you are in urgent need of a size 31.
