Treat as raw, you will get about 1" shrinkage in the waist and the same in the inseam, the waist will stretch back out to pre-soak/wash size over time - so if they fit you as you like them pre-soak/wash, then that's your size

I am clearly in the minority here but when I first read about these I was sad that it was going to have tonal stitching and decided I would pass on them. Now I see they were mistakenly made with the contrast stitching and will definitely pick up a pair. Perfect "lightweight" summer pair  :D.

I absolutely would not recommend the 18 oz double indigo denim for summer.  It is not breathable. At all.

Hey guys just a quick assessment/question..

I understand that the 555 series has a bit of vanity sizing but these seem even larger than normal..??  I know these are "raw" and they will see more shrinkage, but these seem to be baggier than most 555's?? Just by looking at the pictures they seem baggier right??  I wear a tag size 31 in both the 555-01 and the 555-03 and after seeing the photos and the leg measurements of the new 555Sii they look wider than the 555-01 and 555-03, most noticeably at the hem!?  Was this intentional??  I really enjoy the slimmer overall fit of the 555 and i'm hoping this baggier fit is exclusive to the 555sii and not the same with the 555xhsib.. I feel like the 666 is the perfect balance between straight and slim, but for us truly slim dudes we need the truly slim fit of the 555!! That's really all I have on the subject.. I'll be buying the 555xhs either way, i'm just really hoping they stay true to the 555 silhouette..

I am scared about thigh shrinkage. I guess it will be around 0,5 inch?

The measurements are the measurements, I have not compared them with other 555 cuts, if you have, and they are wider at the hem and/or thigh then they are wider at the hem and/or thigh.  When the XHSib arrive, we will know what they measure, until then any second guessing will get me nowhere.

No iteration of a cut is exactly the same as the benchmark version (normally 21oz) but the silhouettes are generally quite similar, as this is dependent on the ratios of the measurements, not the measurements themselves. Even then, fabric weight and construction, level of sanforisation and other factors will affect matters. For example very heavy weight denim (UHR, XHS) will often come up differently to lighter weight denim because the seams have to be thicker.

Looking at the ratios (size of waist compared to thigh, knee, hem for example), these pretty much follow the pattern of other 555 iterations when you take the amount of shrinkage expected into account. I suspect the variations are due of the expected shrinkage in the fabric and won't be very large. It's a 555 silhouette for sure, but you may wish to size down.

@Jordan23 judging by the info on the 666Sii thread, half an inch is the most you'll get.

After trying all 3 of the new models on yesterday I personally think they're bang on how the 555 should be. I didn't notice any significant difference in fit from the 555-01 or 03 (don't own the former).

Size down if necessary and as always, trust the measurements!

The devil is in the detail..

That‘s what i was feared about. Too small then.

I may have been unclear. I think you’ll get .5” on a very hot soak/wash. Less on a 30-40C wash.
