Thanks @AdamJ I figure they are similar to the heavy Oz serge cargo pants then… Heavy but soft. I struggle to find a black ih jeans that fits like I want it to. This could be the one or the upcoming 14oz bb 888 or 555.

Now that it's cooling off and I can wear these I decided to put them in the washer to get all the shrink out. This was around 40 minutes at 100° F with low spin. I feel better knowing that I probably won't get any unexpected shrinkage in future washes.

Waist: 19.5 –> 18.75 in
Front Rise: 11.5 --> 11.4 in
Back Rise: 16 --> 15.75 in
Thigh: 13.75 --> 13.6 in
Knee: 9 --> 8.75
Hem: 8.25 --> 8.25
Inseam 35.5 --> 34.9

Now that I have,and am wearing,and loving the 13OZ Black Serge Western Shirt,I’m really curious about the jeans. I’m guessing the jeans are just significantly heavier than shirt,otherwise the same material. One pair left in my size,but can’t do it right now.

Serge can be a lot of things. I haven’t seen or touched the shirt IRL, so no comparison, but I own wabash vests made of the same fabric as these jeans. The only difference is the wabash dots applied to the vest.

It is a great fabric. Not as stiff as most denim from IH and not as thick as the 21oz denim, but very substantial and quite tightly woven. Remarkably soft and supple. It is a very nice matte black colour too.

I love the feel of this fabric. Soft and forgiving. Can’t wait to wear mine again once I get them back from
getting hemmed.

Really digging these. Pretty much zero break in. Soaked em washed em and wearing em. Even the buttons were easier,although after the XHSib denim anything would be easier. Pictures when i get a chance.

Left them extra long so I could wash and dry with impunity. Currently digging the stacks. May at some point re-hem. T-shirt from Indigo Proof.

Thanks! It is a lot of stacking. I could cuff and still have a lot of stacking. I'll make a decision on a re-hem or not after the next wash. The other thing is if I ride with them the extra length will be nice.
