However after spending a number of years working on building sites quite often in the vacinity of diamond drilling teams I know how painfully slow diamond drilling can be especially through deep walls.

Cutting not going to plan for various reasons…...
Rich is having to attack from the inside to get the lintels in high enough, there is a wall plate (suspending the ceiling joists for the new room) in the way, if we cut below the plate, the doorway will not be tall enough.....
OMG handheld core drilling, dry I might add, while standing on a ladder. Holy shit that’s not fun.

Funnily enough, nothing can be done by these guys unless they follow the schedule of works written by their health and safety department, to the letter, but then they are allowed to do something like this on their own. Boggles the mind
I hear that. That’s why I got out of the business. The amount of paperwork and permits needed to do the work was unreal. But everybody has to eat I suppose. That order of operations creates jobs for Inspectors, engineers and everyone who works under them. But when they ain’t looking…. I’d demo a house in the middle of the night
