I posted this in the wrong thread, so I copied the link here to keep this thread on point.
The more I think about / look at this denim, the more I like it. I missed the Pronto double indigo, and I'm hopeful that I can make this one happen. I agree w/ what @neph93 said in the 888-NT thread, that with high waisted cuts, one can size down successfully because they are meant to be worn a bit higher at the waist as opposed to the hips. I might go so far as a 32 in this one… 33 is my usual size, but I'm not quite a massive as I once was, LOL.
This denim looks great. IH 25oz XHS is one of my favorites, hands down, ever. I really like the idea of the black weft, and the potential for high-contrast fades. These are definitely on my radar.
I've come to find that I think the 634 is better suited for me than the 888. There's a little too much rise and extra width in the hips on the 888 for my build. The 555 is a too slim in the thighs. My 888NT 34's are way too big. I'd need to size down to a 33, and perhaps a 32, so they sit at my waist and not drop down to my hips. I really like the slight taper below the knee, and tweaks to the pockets. I'll have to review the measurements when released.
Sorry if this has already been answered previously, but how much shrink is there in this XHS variant? I've found the original XHS shrank about 1/2 size over several washings.

@mpukas a slew of us have asked about 25oz 888. Never really got a response because they are bringing these out and then all the disasters in Japan happening. I'd prefer a pair of regular XHS to these.

I'd prefer this denim in SE's 633, but I'll see what my will is like when they drop… :-\

I've asked my family for Iron Heart vouchers for Christmas. Here is to hoping they pull through. I always ask but they always get me something I never ask for. I am hopeful somehow I will be able to afford these jeans.

Welp, I'm sold. I was gonna snag a pair of 21/23 UHR 888s, but I think I will wait for these to drop. They look truly awesome.
My advice is to try and get the 888s too. This iteration of UHR is the best yet. It is really amazing denim. The 888-nt are my favorite pair of regular jeans (not double knees or overalls) ever.

I concur. I would snag both of i were u. I have them both and I don’t know what I’d do if I had to. Goose between them. I think having these two and the flagship 21oz is the trifecta of denim. I’m a lucky man.

I bought the 634 XHS last month, unfortunately I think both the UHR and the new XHSib would not go through the marital approval council :D, especially considering I'll probably be expanding both my guitar collection and fishing rod quiver this Christmas season or thereabouts.
If in a few months time there are still some UHRs in 36 I may very well get some, but i get a feeling that the XHSib will run like hot cakes.
