I’ve got a secret: these pants are gold! I suppose @tvenuto has been saying this. I’m stoked on my new summer jeans! So comfy already, thanks 888 thigh measurement—and just the right level of crispy. Here’s a crappy fit pic for y’all:

So I’ve been looking at this pair for a month now and I think I’m finally going to move in for the kill. Thanks for the pic and endorsement @sabergirl [emoji109]

Jump on these, for sure, man. I’m really liking the denim. The dark brown weft is a nice change. I also have been really wanting to invest in a recycled denim since Giles first floated the idea.

Sidebar: besides Iron Heart (and like shoes, undies and socks) I try not to purchase anything new. Textile processing and the general footprint of clothing is way too high. I of course break my own rule sometimes, but I do try my best to live by it. Also: there’s a lot of great vintage, and a robust secondhand market for high end denim and work wear—so it ain’t that hard.

@sabergirl congrats and yes they’re awesome. Basically break-in free, they feel like old friends in no time flat. Also, twins? (This was me yesterday)

Post a couple more fit flicks will ya already? [emoji6]
My big debate is between these and the 14oz 888. The measurements are super close in a 33 except for the waist which comes up small in the RE denim. I would hate to size up to a 34 because I think this cut would have too much denim at the hip. I’d hate to end up with more of a MF cut (not a bad thing but I have them already). Also still sorting out the inseam for sneakers.  Hopefully will have a pair of something on the way by the end of the weekend.

I think your instinct is good to not size up. Smaller waist is also a good thing, as these sit pretty high because of the rise. I could’ve sized down to 34 if I wanted a snug fit, but I looove how comfy these are, and I like wearing a belt, anyway. Also, despite neph’s recommendations about the cut, I didn’t hem shorter than normal to get a good break, and am back to my usual cuff. Here’s some goofy pics, cuz you asked so nicely [emoji23]

Those are pretty much perfect, comfortable, but nicely fitted. I kinda like them with a cuff too even though I’m trying to wear less cuffs these days. Good choice!
Is that the FH plate belt? If I didnt ready have 4 belts I’d get one.

Gracias! It is a FH belt. I love the size of the plate. My IH brass buckle makes me happy, but it’s really huge.

                                  Totally does.  😃

I am kind of kidding. So I want to make it clear that I wasn't abused or anything. I actually think it's kind of funny. One time I did something that prompted my grandmother to tell me to go get a 'switch' and I brought back a blade of grass. Haha I still think about it and laugh.

Also I tease my mom all the time about when she beat the dog with her house slipper and told the dog to, "git dahn the cellar" (in Pittsburghese) when the dog tore the sofa to shreds one day while she way at work and we were at school. LMFAO  😃

I’m in-between sizes 34-36 on this pair and like my thighs to fit a big snug. How much stretch should I expect from this lighter weight denim?

When you soak them just wear the waist damp for a bit… and ask the crew for the largest waist they have bud. 👍
