Geo has just started his radio and chemo therapy.  He's going to be having a pretty up and down time for a few months…....

radiotherapy tomorrow to get the weekend to rest up a bit

was quite excited about getting some tattoos on monday (me being tattooed 2 days ago - as opposed to monday getting tattoed by me!) only to find they are pinhead sized . . . bummer - a pretty pathetic 'x' marks the spot imo  ::)

ironically - i designed the treatment rooms i'll be attending . . . one of my better jobs thankfully

All the best to you! I recommend doing something great after the therapy, that you can look forward to. Might help you in bad situations. A nice journey, buying a 300SL or whatever is a dream of yours.

Here's a little extract from some of the information you get:

"Below are some of the long-term side effects that can occur . . . etc"
• Hair loss can sometimes be permanent or new hair growth may be a different colour or texture. * . . . too late for me
• The skin can feel different or may be darker than before. * . . . and that's a bad thing Seul?
• Infertility – if the ovaries or testicles are within the treatment area. * . . . not bothered there (see next line)
• Swelling in a limb or on the body (lymphoedema) because lymph nodes are damaged. * . . . result (if it's the correct 'limb' and combined with previous line)!
• Shortness of breath – radiotherapy can make the lungs less stretchy. * . . . nah - compensated that issue when i was a kid
• Narrowing of the vagina. * . . . huh?
• Difficulty swallowing due to a narrowing of the gullet (oesophagus) or reduced amounts of saliva. * . . . Damn - a straw in my beer isn't good . . . so there is a downside!
• Frequency passing urine because the bladder can become less stretchy after radiotherapy. * . . . not likely to be a feckin' problem if i can't any beers down my neck!

so it seems i'll still be bald, but tanned, (even) better endowed and sober . . . just need to sort the alcohol thing and it'll be the new improved Geo

mate, medical people always say booze is contraindicated whatever you're being treated for. You can safely ignore that bit. (Disclaimer: Hectic may just be talking shite). Chin up geezer.x

You could just bath in beer… That'll get ya drunk!.. I'll come help fill the tub although you might find it to fill up a lot slower than when you do it yourself...
