Visited my parents in their beautiful apartment, this afternoon, after work. Then it was home to walk the dogs. Our neighborhood is an historic part of town, with lots of beautiful old houses, and a few amazing oak trees. Pretty run-of-the-mill day.

The party jacket has been partying by itself in the back of the car, in this heat. Pretty soon I suppose I should put my mark on it to be sent on its way!

I’ll try to snap a few more pics around the hood when I’m out with the dogs.  There are some really beautiful renovations of historic houses around here.

I added my little touch to the party jacket: I can almost wear it comfortably in my dark, air conditioned living room.

@sabergirl what city are you in?  Downtown/central Phoenix area is the same way with a lot of really cool old neighborhoods with historic houses that have been renovated and are gorgeous.  I would love to move into one some day.

Just got myself caught up on this leg. Great updates. I have a few notes though….

1. That old house makes me think of the southern gothic genré which I love. Anyone watching "Sharp Objects"?
2. You and your wife make a beautiful couple.
3. That patch is totally f**ckin' awesome. I need one.

It's both, @manufc10 !  We moved back to my hometown when the laws of the country changed and we could be married to get Marcia her green card.  Not sure if life in the south will suit us forever, but for now we call the mountains home.
