I wore mine today - perfect for a relatively mild winter's day.
By the way, I thought I'd share the following as I still find it amusing (can't remember if I mentioned it before): I bought this jacket earlier this year on the hottest day in British history.
(Surely the only person in the UK to buy a coat on that day
) -
Our first mildly cool day of 2020 prompted me to welcome it with this uber cool jacket, after seeing @Dstauffer ’s excellent pics.

I tried this jacket today and size M was a perfect fit for me. I'm not familiar with this matarial. How will this fade over the years? Will it shrink after wash?

The cord areas tend to fade or get relatively pale. The whipcord tends to fade or get pale slightly less in comparison.
Here is mine after two to three washes in the washing machine at 60 degrees celsius. I personally didn't like it so I ended up selling it.

How does this compare to the 526LV - V2 denim? From the measurements, for me it will be size M on this one while being size S for the 526LV. Nevertheless this one is smaller by a tiny fraction in size M as compared to the size S on the 526LV. The olive green would have been a much contrasting color than the 526LV when paired with a indigo denim. I'm tempted to go with this one, but nevertheless I like the indigo given the fact that it will fade in over time.

Did you notice any shrinkage? Didn't you like the fade? What was it that made you sell it off?

I'd say if anything then probably just about a cm shrinkage in length and sleeve length
When I bought it, I loved the brown detail of the corduroy and the dark olive green colour of the whipcord. I sold it because I didn't like how pale the jacket was after a few washes.
Just to be fair: Just because mine turned out this way doesn't mean that every jacket will

Type III measurements and shirt measurements are not interchangeable. Example, I take generally XL in shirting and need a p2p of 58cm if I want to wear over and undershirt/tee. I have a type III in XXL with a chest measurement of 57cm that I wear comfortably over UHF’s with a 58cm chest. I have had type III’s with a 56cm chest I can wear comfortably over such shirts too.

Is this jacket cut differently from the other type 3s? Looking at the size chart, it looks like the chest is really narrow. I usually wear a M in most IH jackets, except for the 506Lod, I wear a L. A chest size that is 21.5 is perfect, but it looks like I'd have to get a XXL to get a the right chest size. Can anybody with this jacket chime in on their sizing experience?

My normal size fit quite a bit more snug than usual. I like it as this one is my snug type III and my others have room for layering.
So i would say size up on this. Unless the size chart has changed the measurements were smaller compared other type III in the ptp and maybe other measurements like check the opening measurements.
The compare feature helps. Trust the numbers. The Crew will check specific measurements if needed and hook you up.

Yeah, it looks like the charts did get updated. Take a look.
Normally, I take an L, but I had to take an XL with the original iteration of this. If I were to buy it today, I'd have to go with a XXXL to make the chest work, which is bananas! I don't think I've ever had a XXXL anything [emoji23]
