I doubt whether you will get any noticeable shrinkage whatever you do.

Putting them on a hot radiator just dries them quicker, it is the lubrication and agitation of the fibres that causes shrinkage, not heat.  Things tend to shrink more in hotter washes, but that is not because the water is hotter but because hot cycles tend to be more brutal….

I have washed these in the machine on the warm setting and air dried. There was maybe .25 inches of shrink in length. I washed them in the same batch as my 18 oz vintage jeans and they shrank an inch.

The 18oz stretched so easily that I regained all of the inseam by stretching the seam while the jeans were wet. I tend to have my sanforised jeans pre-hemmed, so always do this. It was so easy with the 18oz I was afraid I'd go beyond starting measurents  :o

I didn't get much shrinkage/if any following a relatively hot soak.

One thing I did notice is that they didn't soften up as quickly as my 18oz 555-02. However, this may be something to do with my weight going up and down over the past two years, effecting the break in process.

The devil is in the detail..

@CKL1213 they look very nice indeed. May be too trim for some peoples tastes but I like a tighter fit as long as we’re not talking sausage leg skinny. And these are not that. When they loosen up and drape properly I believe they will look excellent. How do they feel? Not too restrictive?

To honest it was a bit tight on the thigh, can’t fully raise my leg but I’m ok with it as I’m not gonna do some aerobics move, walking is no problem at all, when walking up stairs will feel resistance.

As I haven’t really wear it, just wearing for like 30 minutes at home walking around to loosen the denim and hopefully will stretch out some.

The hem of 7” is just perfect for my desired look, if I was to up one size the hem will become 7.5”.

All the while I’m wearing straight cut (Levi’s) which I find the knee 10” and hem 8” is too big for my liking.

First time experiencing super slim fit, really like the look, guess I’m having mid life crisis [emoji38]

They’ll definitely loosen up a little during the next few weeks. Mine first pair were IH-555-01 and were tighter than these. I stuck it out and they are perfect now. I’ve had them for six years. I’d just turned 40, so mid-life crisis for sure [emoji1]

Fit looks good to me. The 16oz has some give to it so I think after a few days they will stretch in all the right places.

Coincidentally I’m 40 too, guess we both having mid life crisis and refused to wear the grown up slim flit 666 [emoji23]

The 555-01 measurements are even tighter than the 555S-16

I’ll see how this 16oz stretch out and if it loosen up then I’m eyeing the 555-01 or maybe I just accept my defeat as not everyone can carry a 555 cut.

Look great though @CKL1213 and the crotch will relax in the end… I wouldn't worry about a blow out, it'll happen or it won't, regardless.
