These are the same cut as the 816. I think the Japanese forgot about the 816 when they came up with this! The olive is a different colour, though, as has been pointed out!

I really like the more muted Olive on these. Haven't jumped on any of the whipcord 816's so far (and regretted it in the case of the brown and green). I will not deny myself these…

Ooooh, I just stumbled onto these!  I'm really torn between getting this in olive or the IH-816 in olive.  The fit looks much looser on that shot, but Alex says they're the same cut.  Hrmmmm.  I do prefer the shade of olive on these compared to the 816.  Decisions…

Exactly the same cut and fabric, just different colour…

                  One step at a time…  🙂
Remember, most seasonal releases are driven by Japan, things like the slim chino are designed by us and often fall out of the regular seasonal releases

Slimmer IH chino (with an inseam 35”+) if the material wasn’t too shiny and the colors not too crazy would be my go to work pants. Love my ivory and black chinos but they are a little tough for work. I’d be in a few pairs of slightly smarter looking chinos! Really excited to read there’s a possibility of that!

I love the 816 cut as I’ve said before in this forum , I’m a working man who has been wearing the traditional polyester rental work pants most my working life and it is such a relief and treat to have the awesome 816 to wear, I have the 816 in brown duck, navy duck, kaki duck, 16.5 oz indigo double duck, whipcord in olive and grey, the poly cotton in black and grey can’t get enough of this pant so this new olive I’m sure I will not be able to resist FYI GREEN is my color after all PS I’ve been eyeing the 816 black wabash not sure if I can pull those off damn they look classy

Second that. Enjoyed reading. With regards to the black wabash, it looks smart at first but loves taking a beating and ends up badass. The material is excellent for getting dirty in too. I recommend it.
