Will this fabric be used in another piece ? it’s quite cool

I think it would be awesome in a short sleeve

      What would Jesus wear?

The fabric is beautiful. Hefty for linen, and has a nice sheen to it. I’m on the fence about my fit, though. This is a medium, and my crappy fit pics may be of no help. The shoulders seem a little tight, and the waist opening is definitely too trim. With one snap open, it’s much better, but there’s still a fair amount of fabric that doesn’t drape very well above my rear…shelf...for lack of a better term. I’m not sure sizing up to large would fix any of these issues. Then it might just be large in the chest. Thoughts?

Hmm… I see what you mean.  It looks great from the front.  I hope you find a solution that works for you.

Pretty sure I'm going to just rock it, in any case. The fabric is truly special, and this won't be the first western shirt that I have a weird fit on due to my….assets.

How does it feel if you would open one more snap? By looking at the meas. don’t think going one up will make much of a difference.

I think going up one would just make the sleeves too long. I wouldn’t get much more waist room. Two snaps loosened is a better drape, but them my belly hangs out. Lol

Size up @sabergirl. Perhaps up two sizes. I think you would look great and the bottom would drape better. Then roll up the sleeves. These sleeves look excellent rolled up with the black weft!

EDIT Looking at the measurements again it looks like you said: One size up may not be enough, but 2 sizes up is too much probably. The difference between the L and XL is an inch and a half in the waist!

Great shirt. I just received mine and tried it on. My usual size XXXL fits good. I dont have any of my dirty mirror pics yet though.

I see the opening/rear shelf thing, but it doesn’t look bad at all. I think the rest of it looks brilliant, including the shoulders. I say keep.

I think the fit looks good, however, if you're experiencing tightness do you think sizing up and then hot washing would do the trick? I have no idea how linen reacts in the wash so there's the possibility you'd get a small amount of shrink with a cold wash. But, sizing up would likely mean longer sleeves and body length than you want. Tough call for sure.

On a related note, I've always wanted a linen western but i'm not a sawtooth guy. I'd be interested in a lightweight standard western or maybe a linen version of the ihsh-13

The whole hot washing thing dosnt always produce a good fit because on westerns the double layered shoulders don’t always shrink as you wish.

I say before you send it back, give it a hot steam iron and see if the fabric gives a little. You’d be surprised how much some shirts “grow” with heat and steam, essentially since most IH shirts are one washed.

Thanks for your input, everyone. I’m not sending it back. I’ve decided to keep it. Even if the fit isn’t perfect, it’s exactly the fabric I want for the hot weather. I usually slim down in the summer, so the fit will hopefully be better in a few weeks.

Any vendors pick this one up @Alex?
