The fabric reminds me more of a lighter weight 129/170/193
The Kanreki was more like the 138.

i'm a xs in my only other work shirt the 138. the measurements are very in between an XS and an S. the XS would be ideal but the shoulder is way too small.. thoughts anyone? i can't decide..

Think I'll be sending mine back or trading with @Appfaff. Went with my usual XL and think sizing down would have been the better option. Nice looking shirt though.

Mine is waiting in Gosport awaiting the opening of the Outlet to see what else I’m going to snag until The summer.
I’m guessing it will be golden tho since the 196 had the same measures from @Adam and I’m happy with that fit.
Plus, I need a good reason to drop some lbs lol [emoji23]

Is it normal for the gussets to flare out from the sides like that? I noticed this on a couple of fit pics and was wondering if it's because of how high up the gusset connects to the shirt

It's a work shirt thing and yes I think it's a result of the curve in the cut of the shirt at the hemline. I dig it.

Some random thoughts. And photos.
1. Sizing was awkward and I almost passed on it. I needed the shoulders from the Large and almost everything else from the Medium. I went with the Large.
2. I just gave it a warm wash and a little time in the dryer and it does shrink. I now have it at 26 sleeves and 28 length, so approximately one inch vertical shrinkage.
3. The fabric is fantastic. Great color and great feel.
4. Still haven’t worn it for real, but it may be my new favorite IH shirt (and I have quite a few of them…)
