@bryaneidins70 thanks Bryan, I appreciate that. The boots are going to take a bit of breaking in. I wanted the heal to be solid black rather than natural. Guy at Viberg is seeing what can be done as that was my original request.
I love the drizzler. It gets a lot of use. I wish I'd picked it up in black, but it sold out in the outlet.

I personally think that heal gives a nice contrast to the black boot and buckle and once they've been waxed and bashed about ,it won't be far off black.

@Stuart.T I think your boots look great as is. Being that the sole is natural too I think it really pops.

@mikebarhoot think you, that was very kind of you to think to put up some reference pics. I actually like @bryaneidins70 suggestion of staining with wax to give a darker natural colour rather than the lighter pine look they have now.
Thanks @Filthy I get what 'pop' meant. I'm getting used to the brightness of the natural leather. The boots got a bit of breaking in today too.
