IH-888S-142bb - 14oz Selvedge Denim Medium/High-Rise Tapered Jeans - Black/Black

Just tried these on today, and they look and feel great. Hard time figuring out my 888 size. In 31, they were kinda ‘painted’ on the top block (not uncomfortable though), but kinda looked like a jeans worn by Beegees. In 32 they look cool, but I fear they’ll become saggy once I’ve stretched them.
So I’m asking if the top block will loosen up with wear so it doesn’t look as much like a 70’s jeans? @neph93 I believe you’re well traversed with this fit?

@Tuefar I'd say start with a snug top block and they should stretch out a bit. Another thing you could do is contact IHUK and see if they have a slightly oversized 31 that sits between the two sizes. Hope that helps

If the waist is comfy I would stick with the smaller pair. It will relax some.

That being said, the 888 is very flexible. I have sized down and tts pairs and a more relaxed top block works well. The 14oz is not as flexible as 21oz so you should be fine.

Anyone have both the 14oz black and 21oz SBG that can compare the fabrics in terms of how well they breathe and how comfortable they are? I know 14oz is generally not as breathable as 21oz but curious if the dye method evens them out a bit.

In my experience the 14oz bb is softer and more comfortable than the 21oz sbg pairs I've had (both 555 in my case). That may be to do with the sizing my end but I scarcely wear my SBG in summer because they are too hot.

So I just got my pair on 4/20, and have been wearing them everyday since. I went with a 32 waist as I've been struggling with my 31s in other cuts, but it looks like I messed up. These are just a little too baggy in the thighs and butt for me right now, and I think a 31 would have been perfect.
Is there any chance of getting some shrinkage with a hot soak or wash? I would hate to wash these so soon, but just not happy with the fit at the moment.

Hi @choco, i doubt they will shrink to more than what they where when you got them, but as you have been wearing them already would say give it a try with a hot wash and if you are not satisfied with the result sell them.
