Completely agree with you here.  I'm more than likely going to pick one up real soon (by real soon I mean today).  Did everyone stick with their normal IH shirt size on this?  I'm an XL work shirt/UHF and I was thinking L or XL in this.

@pacreamer Sabergirl’s advice is good, but I can also confirm that this is cut larger (by design) and most of us sized down one when trying these on

And I just saw Alex's post regarding sizing.  So @Alex you would be a Large in this yes?  IIRC you're an XL workshirt/UHF.

Nice, thanks @pacreamer.  I ended up picking up a no print version in Large (typically an XL) myself but I haven't received mine yet so fingers still crossed.

I really like this jacket, and am considering picking it up.

I am a little confused as to the warmth and breathability of this jacket. Is the surface completely melted and waterproof, thus not letting any air through? As far as the lining is concerned, is there any measure of insulation to the jacket or is it more of a shell piece. And lastly, is the nylon soft? Or does it have a stiffness to it like some outdoor apparel?

Also...noticed that some of the pictures show a black zipper and some looked like polished metal. For those that bought it, what is the finish of the zippers?

@Southern @Rusty sorry for the slow replies here, I guess I missed these posts before.

No, we do not have plain ones. You can see the retailers listed in the OP and contact them directly to see if they have any plain for you, though.

The part of the zip you pull up and down is metal painted black, the teeth are dark metal in colour.

This jacket is super warm, I wear it over an IHTL-1501 or a GAH Longsleeve T and its warm enough for the English weather in all but must extreme cases

Sorry to resurrect this thread. Hoping someone with experience can help me. Would this jacket be warm enough to perform as a winter coat in the UK? I’m thinking, worn over a UHF/IH hoodie, this would be pretty toasty. How about weather proofing - I know it’s not waterproof but I get the feeling you’d get a bit of protection from the fabric?

@jerkules yes, i use it in the winter and its great. Pretty wind proof and warm with a layer underneath. I only reach for a different jacket in heavy storm weather, but this is shower proof
