@Filthy Love the character that this denim presents. You're in direct sunlight but it looks like there are a lot of places where bright blue is already poking through. Are these as dark as they say when brand new? If so then that is some killer contrast developing. Also, love the shoes. Wesco Romeo?

@GardenState just re-read your question. I am apparently only semi-litterate or ADD or something.

There's parts that are as dark as when they are new and there's quite a bit of fading going on. Especially from my lap to my knees and all the high points on the combs…

@Filthy  😃 All good, figured I was just asking too many questions. I plan to buy these just cannot figure out the cut I really want. Part of me wants to wait until I am in England in a few weeks to visit Rivet and Hide or something. Thanks! They look spectacular

@GardenState if it's something Iron Heart you really can't go wrong! It's really all great no matter what you get. I do think that you would really like this denim though. It's really great. I'm so pleased with mine.

That's from a Capcom game called Dragons Dogma. One of my all-time favorite adventure games. I get the Skyrim reference though. I played that one about 1000 hours. I'm about 600 hours into Cyberpunk now. Those games like that are so addictive to me. Open world adventure games.

Anyway every time you buy something that guy says that. He says it like hundreds of times.

Yeah I had nothing from that game. I tried out Cyberpunk but I have difficulty finding time to play games these days. Wishing I had more time. I honestly get enough time to play like 15 minutes of Call of Duty or something similar (Death Loop right now).

@GardenState I took some more and improved pictures of the wonderful 19L to maybe sway you to the IH Left. It's a figurative Blue Wave of electric blues  😃 It's amazing what a little sunshine can do to bring out the depth of color of the denim. These are as beautiful as it gets.

(I know we're not supposed to talk politics… But I'm just teasing). This is why I'm always calling them Leftist jeans. Forum Gratitude Lefties

I think it's sad how polarizing politics are these days. I tend to not like either the right or left. I feel like we're all being manipulated and duped by social media and TV. We're all good people and need to put aside are differences and give tolerance and Peace a chance. I don't know what the answer is. But I try to love everyone from both the Right and the Left. I am withholding my true personal beliefs because we aren't supposed to talk about it.  We don't want to make anyone not feel welcome and included here. This is a more of an ecumenical broad spectrum statement for those who hate their fellow people because of their political beliefs. I think you can probably guess what my real affiliation would be. Not that I agree completely but it is the lesser of two evils. 😶

                          Anyway:
FYI I have a pair of old long Johns that I stuffed with old tee shirts to make a pair of fake legs. I wanted to get a male blow up doll to put the jeans on (because it would be hilarious) but those blow up dolls are only like 3:4 scale and would be too short. You can't really see how beautiful they are until you fill up the volumes so the light can cast shadows and create highlights. They look completely different laid flat.

I love how there's indigo streaking all over the grey reverse of the fabric and also staining the yellow thread. These jeans are so awesome. I love them.

@Filthy Sorry for the late response; I actually teach a college course in Florida and just got back to work today. Putting my house up for sale this summer cannot wait to get out of Florida. First of all, excellent pair of jeans. I really am super pumped about these after the disappointment with the Strike Golds (really weird cut). But sheesh they are gorgeous and just really indecisive about getting a more mature cut versus a super slim again. Before covid/the pandemic I was a minimalist and I'm trying to get back to that now - my denim habit kind of spiraled out of control during the covid years.

I am 100 percent with you Mike if I'm grasping what you're putting down between the shades of blue. Wise words indeed.

Now just to thin out my closet some.

Oh and I nearly spat my beer out when I read the blow up doll bit.  😃

Folks, it's absolutely ridiculous how soft the hand is of these jeans now. Even crazier when you consider just how rough and almost "scratchy" from the onset  😃

Anyway, I'm laying in bed with insomnia- like usual, and I'm gently rubbing my hands across the surfaces of these jeans. I especially love the stiffness of the denim and how the denim creases. The apex of the creases are extra soft (from abrasion and my obsessive stroking of the denim) in contrast of feeling the sharpness on the folded over seams of the pockets, and the abrasiveness of the poly-cotton thread- is so great.

People sometimes ask about how my jeans always have the electric blue and sharp creases they do… And I think it's because I'm always stroking my legs. I know this sounds completely insane. I read over 9 years ago on Superfuture, someone admitting they were, "…always touching their legs in Iron Heart" ... And I don't mind if you think I'm weird by admitting this. I'm definitely guilty of being a lot flaky, but completely harmless.  😃 I swear I'm not on drugs or drunk writing this. I'm just so very tired and completely ecstatic about the prospect of having a new and meaningful job and so grateful for you guys sending me these jeans.

I apologize for always going off-topic and always being so sappy and introspective. But I am really going through a lot of personal turmoil and strife and things aren't great at home either. A few weeks and months ago, I had almost lost the will to live. I was ready to zero myself. But now I have some glimmer of hope.

It's strange to me that certain material things like these jeans mean so much to me. Like I'm completely obsessed with all the details of the different pairs of jeans and clothes I have, and I fantasize about and loathe the fear of losing them or having to sell them. But most of the time my life is completely worthless to me. I often think about how great it would be to go to sleep and not wake up. But then I think about the awesome spring flannels IH is going to have next year, and what the evo on my jeans will be in a year from now. And could I possibly manage to keep wearing the same pair of jeans without having to buy something new to be obsessed with and fall in love with again, all over.

So like I am hopeful that things will be better if I can muster the drive to persevere and I hope to keep sharing my enjoyment of this stuff with you. And I hope we will all survive all the crazy stuff that is going on in the world too. The threat of constant endless war and how Humanity is facing the brink of extinction, and nuclear annihilation. All these things weigh so heavy on my mind. What I mean is let's be positive and get through all of this together. I sincerely appreciate your friendship, even if it is digitally from a distance.

I can complete relate to this, and it's amazing to hear somebody articulate this as eloquently as you have done. 2022 hasn't been the greatest year for me either, but the love I have for clothing gives me something to genuinely look forward to every day. I came home from work yesterday evening, showered, put on my 21oz jeans and a nice stiff western shirt, and felt so content and cosy.

I have a feeling that rugged and heavy clothing have the same effect on me as weighted blankets have for some people.

I've previously spoken about it with a friend who has been diagnosed, and although she finds comfort in more light and breezy garments, completely understands why I find the opposite to be therapeutic.
