To be fair the Type III is also sanforized and one washed and that went down over one full size with a very hot soak, but I realise this is a different batch.

First wear day today @Oaktavia @neph93 @LewisStonehouse @Giles @goosehd @Graham I know I'm forgetting people. But I just want to say thanks again. The jeans for like they were made for me. I don't know who RP is but he picked the perfect pair for me. I had to exhale slightly to get the top button done up. So this is perfect- I didn't have to try and stretch the waist or anguish lying down trying to get them buttoned up.
I love the texture of the denim, and yet is has that silky softness I love. They definitely feel like XHS but slightly less oppressive. I absolutely love them.

Wait till they brake in. You are in for a treat. And the fades will start coming pretty quickly. Its an unbelievable fabric. -

Fuck yeah @Filthy I'd say they are most similar to XHS as far as I have been able to observe in person.
This stuff is like Oni secret denim mated with XHS but it isn't itchy but has a rough texture, and yet still has that familiar dense, heavy and silky Iron Heart feel. It is really cool.

Good call… I'm so happy you like them. @LewisStonehouse and I discussed sending you tokens so you could get the UHR, but we took a risk on these. Lewis felt it was more personal and I know I bloody love this denim.

The others are hot Garbo but here's a fit pic. You can see these fit me excellent in this picture. Sort of a slim silhouette and yet they are generous enough to be extremely comfortable.

It just so happens that I still have one of my off-cuts from my 18 ounce Vulcans… And yes it is similar, but I think this 19L is stiffer and has a lot more surface roughness and neps (secret denim)... But is seems like this 19L has been calendared or something to smooth them out, or this is from the Leftiness of the denim. This is why I am making the XHS comparisons. I think 16oz Trophy Dirt denim feels a lot like IH 18oz denim, but the dirt denim has a lot rougher texture. Everything Iron Heart is always denser and smoother than anything else.

One other thing that is interesting about this denim: it's very rigid. So much so that I will not be wetting/starching/ironing/soaking/etc this pair this time. Just au naturel. This is quite amazing that these are once washed and yet they are so stiff. Even XHS gets very pliable after it has been washed. But this is so rigid.

I also have to agree with this. Ive only been buying IH since two years now.
The first pair were the 666S-21s which I loved right off the bat and the fit was good, but the thigh could have had just a bit more room–and I am definitely not a " Thunder Thighs" built guy.
Second pair were the 888-14ib which gave me the extra room I was looking for in the thigh, but with the higher waist--they took a minute to get used to.
I then tried the 777S-19L`s which when they arrived..I could not even get my legs through them at all.
It was a no-go from the very start. I dont know where I went wrong with them as I thought I had researched them pretty well as far as crunching the numbers on them.Which brings me to the best news ever for me----I found my Cut with the 634S-19L`s!!
These are by far the most comfortable jeans I have had right out of the bag---of course not withstanding the usual top button giving me fits until it loosened up enough to get it closed.The roomier fit, the feel of the weave on these....its like I found my dream cut.
And cudos to @Graham for always always being a great help and the voice of reason when it comes getting things taken care of with no complications at all…..thanks man,
Still haven't tried the 555 cut---maybe one day down the road, but for now---im 634 all the way.

The problem is with 777 sizing up is the answer
In the 25oz size up 2 size
I got it wrong at first…
Hated the 777 the first 25oz when they drop the first time.
4 years later
Give its another shots, can wear them

I should have tried sizing up Kasi..but in the end it all worked out for the best.
Good to know about sizing up two times with the 25oz as I haven't tried those out yet.
Will probably wait until next year to give them a try.
Ive got too many in rotation right now as it is.For sure get that anniversary pair–and Im pretty jealous of everyone that will be able to make it there.

I'm looking forward to more less hardcore honeycombs on this pair. I took them off for a while to wear my 21L. I used depilatory cream on everything below my neck to make sure all my body hair is THC-free. So my skin is really irritated. I left it on like three times longer than you're supposed to…
This is one sleep and two days wear.

Well so much for no water on them. I was just outside in a torrential downpour. Now they are soaking wet. I'm going to wear them until they dry though…
