Random question. This one snaps all the way up. How is it decided if the top is a snap or not? I prefer it and wish some of my others did the same, like the kersey 208

Yeah I’ve wondered this too. I’ve kinda guessed that the more rigid materials (serge, denim, wabash) get the snap up top, while a button is used for softer materials like flannels, kersey, wool. Might be wrong tho.

The point at which the collar button is fixed is much thicker than the rest of the placket, as a result of necessary collar construction. The posts on the snaps don't reach all the way though on certain shirts, made of certain fabrics, notably UHF's, but also Kersey and the heavy wool blends,

You can't go wrong with grey.  It works with everything!  That practicality made this an easy sell for me.

Besides, serge is so good!

Definitely looks like the Serge train is picking up some steam. Been wearing the Black and Olive shirts at least once a week all winter. Hope that there are other colors on the horizon.

I agree 100% I’m glad to see this material is getting more love, I wear both a ton. I’d love a red one.. I think that would be epic!!

I prefer the buttons as the beard / hairs on my neck tend to get stuck in the open snaps which is very painful.

That does look really good. If I didn’t have them on the Olive-235,I might’ve done that.
