16oz Slubby Denim

If you think we can sell them as new, we'll take them back. So, ask yourself this, if you received them as a new pair of jeans would you be happy or pissed off with us? If you would be pissed off, then the answer is no. We can't risk being seen as unethical… And honestly, if you've started to stretch the waist out, they don't sound new.....
Thanks, Giles. What shocked me is how fast this changed from ~15-30 mins of wear around the house. I could guess that if these were in my local denim store that they'd see this much stretch from a few customers trying them on and still be sold as new. Certainly these arent as "crisp"? as when I opened them, but they arent exactly sweat-pant broken in either. I'm tyring to be as transparent as possible here as well, so not trying to pull anything on anyone.

Send a mail to @Graham at shop@ironheart.co.uk…..
But the simple test is. Would you be happy to receive these as new jeans if they dropped through your door from an online store?

I had this problem with the 777… I am a size 34 in the heavy weight.
As they arrive 34 was to big for… straight away size down. Fit perfectly
I think the confusion is this is a thinner fabric works differently..
Also looking at them fit of 888, you got the wrong fit, maybe 666 or 777 would have work better for you.
Also I am rocking the 888 pronto cut… 777, 666 and 555
In my opinion 666 has won for me.
Always something not right either you got the wrong or size..

The differences that I'm noticing are hard to pickup in the photos and also why I wasnt really sure about these in the first place to come and ask for help here.
On the 888's, there's enough fabric to grab a literal handful of fabric on the seat that then pulls in the thighs and hips. It's not terrible but this isnt the case on the onis despite it looking very similar. Plainly said, it's the extra material in the seat and hips. The excess is enough that they sort of make noticeable noise when walking around the house as the folds move past each other.

I think they look great @pechelman I vote keep em. They look comfortable.

I've not considered the 555s after trying tag 34 no-lots that had a 12.7 thigh and 9.0 knee that were too tight for me. I need a little extra in the thigh for cell and wallet as I carry them in my front pockets. The knee was just uncomfortable and restricting movement.
Appreciate the suggestions. Hopefully we haven't derailed this thread too much.

@pechelman fwiw, I had a similar experience with the 888 14.5oz eco denim a few years back. The jeans fit will in waist and thigh, but could be a little lose around the crotch. I think it was down the fabric being less rigid, with a tendency to drape a little funny in looser areas. I decided the 888 cut perhaps didn’t quite fit my body type, but still gave the jeans plenty of love and wear. I sold them after about 2 years for a pretty good price, and actually quite miss them.
I picked up the IHDR-502 pants last year which are also an 888 cut. Due to the ridigity of the whipcord fabric, I don’t have the same loose fabric issue. Seems obvious, but it made me realise that dimensions don’t tell the whole story and that fabric plays an important role in how a pair fits.
Also, I’d actually be pretty happy with the fit you got. Looks relaxed and comfortable.

I bought the 666 slubs, and the slubby jacket. I’m amazed! Best pair of jeans I’ve ever owned! I love the cut, the color, the fit, the patch, the texture, everything. This is Textile Art!!
