I think you'll be happy sizing down if you're looking for a fitted silhouette that you plan to layer ON TOP of.

That is the plan. Tee under, vest/jacket over.

Love this shirt. One of my favourite pieces thus far.
Went with my work shirt size - XXL
Roomy enough for a long sleeve tee; though the sleeves are snug.

great fit @Skelly. I really love the giant pocket flaps and their design, its the focal point of the shirt.

That was a hefty price tag but I couldn’t pass it up.
Went Witt medium like my UHFs

I plan on using it as a outer layer

What's the deal with the 'Dry Clean Only' designation?  I thought Merino could be cold washed - by hand, at the very least.

Only reason, along with the lack of hand warmers, that I didn't buy one. Because this bad boy is stupid handsome.

Hey guys, is this a strictly cold weather shirt? Can you wear this in 60-70 degree temp? Anyone for NorCal? What do you think?

60-65F should be fine. It’s quite thin and being wool will breath quite well. I anticipate being able to use it in what passes for summer here over a tee shirt.

Think I need a fit check. Excuse, the wrinkles, but is this a bit too "just right"? I was thinking treating this as a shacket. But this feels for sure like a well fitting shirt. Should I exchange for an xxl (my uhf size is xxl, regular denim shirt size is xl, and this is an xl).

Looks a really good fit. I’d be super happy. But it is more of a work shirt fit than a shacket fit.

As for sizing up, the arms would be long, but a layer under it may help with that.

These are great shirts in a great fabric, but I wonder a little at the design choices. I know they were specced by the collaborative partner, and that is great, however I don’t quite get “the point”. I’d love to see the fabric used on a Haraki-san work shirt/CPO.

Thanks neph93 . I guess I will be keeping this one :). Been wearing this today. Loving everything about it.

Btw, I was just thinking, maybe the cut of this shirt is ironhearts new military style cut? In the past few years, the 235 and now the lighter weight military shirts are all somewhat similar to this one, ie shorter torso and arms, wider chest, yet more tapered body? Despite me thinking I like western styles more, among the 7 ironheart shirts, now I own 3 military, 3 westerns and 1 cpo (shit I think I need help).

Anyway thanks again.

Btw, shout out to divisionroad, their packaging really makes you feel special.

Swallowed Div Road's hefty postage and picked up their last medium. It kinda takes me back to my pre-IH 'geography teacher' style - think cord blazers, v-neck jumpers and Doc Martens shoes. To get something of that but with IH build quality, in the single nicest fabric I've ever had, makes it a great collaboration imo. I think the fabric needs the cut and details though - I'm not sure the regular work cut would suit it. I suppose any collab needs to feel just enough but not too much incongruity. To be sure, it's a funny place to see that 'motorcycle specialties' label, but I'd love to see more, sort of… well-dressed boho stuff from IH. I guess that's a long way from Haraki-san's style however.

Having said all that, as a skinny, arseless cove, I got a fit that I'm really happy with. This one suits the slimmer frame. Can't take any shrink though, so I'll be waiting to see if anyone else follows Giles' cavalier and unofficial advice and tries washing it.
