I will be cancelling my booking at the Spring Garden Apartments. But, I will hold on to it until someone who is planning to come claims it. I have it reserved through Booking.com, and it does require a 3 night minimum stay. Anyone looking for a place, who can meet the 3 night minimum, should PM me…

Katie and I are wondering if we should rent a car.  We’d like to visit London for a day trip since she’s never been.  Would a car be necessary or is there a transit option that could get us there and back for a reasonable price?

@Matt If you're staying in Gosport I would get the Gosport Ferry over to Portsmouth Harbour then the train up to London then back again the same day. Driving is a pain the ass, especially parking in and around London, can get expensive.

Thank you @AdamJ  That’s exactly what I wanted to hear.  I had no desire to drive through London.  I just needed independent confirmation from someone other than me because Katie never believes what I tell her.  In fairness, I’ve worked hard to diminish my credibility over the years.

You'd waste a day, see a lot of shit stuff from the car, spend a fortune on parking and congestion charges, but on the upside, your credibility would go through the roof….
