@SKT have you ever wanted to look/seem smarter to people in public without saying a word?
This shirt is one way to achieve that.
This is exactly the effect I was looking for. But will it work on my wife and kids? Doubtful.

@neph93 Rueben I'm sure if you had a life size wax figure made and sent to Gosport, Giles would gladly display it in the office, and use it to find your exact sizing so these nail biter moments wouldn't happen.

I'm XL in most IH shirts. Bought an L. Fit is nice and trim over a T as I plan to wear it. Forearm area is very narrow compared to my other shirts however and could be a problem if you have muscular arms and are sizing down. So narrow that it makes me a bit skeptical about CPO/overshirt use even with the larger version.
Anyway fabric is amazing and for my use this shirt is perfect!

By “interesting” did you mean “Shit!!!”?
More like, «ooooh, fuuuuuck». Happily it still in Gosport and there are XL’s still in stock i will get the lovely @Graham to run a few tests for me tomorrow.
I’m an xl - xxl generally in western and the large works just about (so my wife tells me) but is a pretty trim fit and works as a layer over t shirt but would not work as an over shirt at all. The shirt (potentially negative fit feedback notwithstanding) is fucking stunning.

Or one of those really high quality made to order sex dolls. Then it’s multi functional.
Genuinely made me laugh out loud.

I’d imagine @Giles would find most function in buying the sex doll and shipping it to me so I could actually go fuck myself the next time he tells me to [emoji1]

not to trying discourage anyone who already sized down more advice for those still ordering, but I'm normally a large and tried a medium from division road, it arrived today and while an absolutely beautiful shirt it was a bit too snug especially in the arms and wrists as well as being a tad scratchy which is totally normal for wool. This led me to bite the bullet and extra shipping fees and exchange it for a bigger fit so I can layer something like a Henley or thermal, I think this will be a perfect application for the shirt, lastly dose anyone else have input or received there's yet? the fabric sure is amazing and I'm exited to see the outfits you guys think up with it !

The chest and shoulders are my concern and after conferring with @Graham I feel comfortable that L will be the one for me. It is in its way so I will report back on the appropriate thread next week (I got the grey).
It will surprise absolutely no one that I look forward to putting a vest over it. My olive N-1, IHV-21 and IHV-24 are all candidates.

I received mine last night. I went with my work shirt size of XXL (I'm a XXXL in westerns). The chest and shoulders are slightly more roomy than a work shirt but the arms feel slim, as you mentioned. I actually don't mind the little bit of room as I plan to layer under the shirt with a henley/thermal etc as its a 3 season shirt, imo.
The fabric is lovely. Great hand. Substantial but still refined. Definatly an heirloom piece.
Its more brown in person rather than the rusty colour I was expecting. In a nutshell I'm a big fan.

I think you'll be happy sizing down if you're looking for a fitted silhouette that you plan to layer ON TOP of.
