Ah you went black @Anesthetist  😎 very nice. No XS available for Darci?

God has blessed you richly, so get down on your knees and thank him. Don’t forget the less fortunate or God will personally kick your ass. I’d love to do it for him, but I can’t be everywhere. Willie Nelson

She is 50/50 on IH stuff tbh, but my daughter will be all in when she is done growing. She has already told me that when I die she wants my car, my watches, and…..my ultra heavy flannels!

Hi, any plans to restock the XS?

After a week or so of wearing this beauty, I can say this jacket is just plain awesome. I was a little apprehensive about buying a long coat since my only other experience is with my Kapital Ring Coat (and the M51 is longer yet), but it is very comfortable and not intrusive. Plus the extra coverage helps when the cold gets whipping. It also casts a pretty heroic silhouette and I've gotten several compliments on it already from coworkers.

What I really, really love about this coat is how it feels like a massive wooly sleeping bag. It's not the warmest IH coat that I own (N1 is hard to beat), but it's extraordinarily windproof and because it is generously sized it has room for multiple layers. With the right kit, I could even see it keeping up with the N1 but with the benefit of the added coverage. The lined hood is also a nice touch although I wish it was lined with something a little lighter than the blanket lining. It tends to be a little bunchy and doesn't sit down all the way sometimes. I've noticed with wear it's getting better though and it is a very toasty hood. The jacket sheds mist and snow well but not rain like my 80 but it's not a tech jacket like the 80 so it's expected to not perform as well IMO.

Lastly the pockets which are a marvel. You can literally carry a picnic lunch in these pockets and not feel it. I'm literally in love with how deep the hip and chest pockets are (I thought I lost my car keys they are so deep). I really wish the hip pockets were lined but it's a very minor quibble.

In short, if you have the chance to check one out in person do it. You probably won't leave empty handed. I was completely caught off guard by this coat but I'm so happy I picked it up.

@Anesthetist Great write-up, many thanks! It sure sounds like a great jacket… I told myself I can't buy any more jackets or coats, so it's a good thing the measurements don't work for me on this one, or I wouldn't have been able to resist.

I'm enjoying it vicariously through you though!

I haven’t worn any other coat than this since I have it. It is amazing. If there is one thing I would have preferred a little bit more room in the sleeves they are a bit narrow for my liking but that’s just minor.

Debating picking one of these up. I know it was mentioned earlier in this thread that it's recommended to get your UHF size, but I wear my UHFs fairly snug and I like my parkas to fit oversized. Wondering if I should go up one size or two. For those who own or have tried this on, would going up 2 sizes be crazy to get an oversized look, or would 1 size be sufficient?

I’ve only briefly tried on but my normal UHF size felt plenty big in this, almost too big. But would be great for layers.

I haven’t tried this one, but judging by other IH outerwear sizing, one size up would be PLENTY for an oversized fit. Your UHF size will already be roomy.

I wear L in all UHF and M in this coat and still fit an UHF plus Thermal underneath. If it wasn’t for the sleeves I would be able to layer more but the sleeves are a bit too narrow.

Tracked down an XS on Poshmark for Lori and I’m super stoked to surprise her. This jacket is soooo boss. Should be here by Monday 🤞

Fat dudes need good clothes too.
