is this jacket supposed to be quite fitted, or worn a bit looser….i can't decide to get a medium or large as measurement wise i seem to fall somewhere in-between, and i don't know if the medium would look too tight or the large would look too baggy - i am 18' shoulders and 43' chest, but usually wear a medium in a lot of coats/shirts, so any help from owners would be appreciated!
I’d say your a large.
I’m a 40” chest with 17.” shoulders and the medium is perfect for me witt a tshirt and UHF.

It is! Such a under rated shirt I was gonna size up but I like the snug fit a lot

I have the previous version. Has anyone tried to do anything about the weird fading? I absolutely love the jacket but the greenish tint it’s developed in places is ugly.

do you mean the black version has developed greenish tints?

Yes. I think the newest iteration is different. Mine is a few years old and has a weird fade. I don’t think i could photo well enough to capture.

Is the sizing of the current version of this any different than previous versions? I have a large from a year or two ago and it fits perfect.

you are probably right. if we are looking at just timelines this makes sense. i didnt know when the 35 came out for the first time. if its initial release was this last fall then this 100% answers my question.
anybody know the big differences between the two?

The classic N1 deck jacket was first produced for the US Navy in the early 1940s. Much copied since then, it has become a true style icon in its own right. The Iron Heart version remains pretty true to the original jackets on the basis that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". The one major, but unseen, change we have made is to add an additional interlining to increase wind resistance. A truly warm and great-looking winter jacket. For this years rendition we have added the interlining to the collar and tweaked the pocket placement very slightly.
