Is there any remote possibility to have a little bit of extension of the arm length on this one? I would be glad if I can get an additional 2 inches plus on the arms length.

Is the chest too wide if you size up?  I have to agree with the guys that the sleeves a little long as it is.

The M65 isn't supposed to be form fitting, though I'll say that IH has made the most flattering cut of this jacket.  Sizing up shouldn't look ridiculous, especially if the arms are running short for you.

Having some trouble with sizing and was wondering if anyone had some advice. I wear an xxl in the latest Iron Heart UHF (purple western) and was debating between the L and XL. The sleeves on my flannel are a little long and hit mid hand but most of the time with arm bending. The sleeve retracts and bunches so it’s ok. Haven’t washed it yet either. I’d be wearing the m65 with a heavyweight tee and UHF usually.

Measurements are key, but based on your description and my own experience with this jacket, sizing down one from your standard UHF seems to be the way to go.  This jacket also has velcro at the wrists that you can use to keep the sleeve from slipping too much.

I agree with the above. XL is the way to go. Going two down to L would be too much. I am XL in shirts and have an L in this. I can just about fit a shirt/tee combo under it.

I agree with the boys above. 1 size down from your UHF size is golden for an all-round fit. It has been known to go down two sizes for a really trim-fitted look. I'd go with an XL initially for sure.

Feel free to drop me a line at shop@ironheart.co.uk to have a direct line for sizing help from the crew.

              Cheers!

@Piratedoc Adding my two cents to what others have already said.  I just took receipt of this jacket.  I took Graham's advice and sized down one size from my normal IH denim or UHF size.  The fit is spot on.  I can wear a t-shirt and UHF or denim shirt underneath and the jacket fit is fine.  I even tried it with a hoody underneath and it's wearable - a little snug in the upper arm and shoulder area, but still wearable.  Specifically, I order size large in this jacket and I almost always wear XL in IH shirts.

                  Superb fit.  “Medium”
I coulda gone w/ small even
But the medium allows for room with UHF or Denim shirt
1 size down is spot on.
Or 2 sizes for more fitted

I have found a way to solve my shorter sleeve issue. I was at my local tailor and asked if something could be done and I was told that he could stitch an elastic band, something like the ones seen on pullovers. The challenge would be to find the exact color that matches the M65. I'll post the results once I have it done.

The Velcro closure on the sleeve already does the job pretty handily.

The sleeves on mine would normally be too long for me but the velcro eliminates the problem.

If one would have to decide between this and the lined N1, am I right to assume the N1 will be the warmer jacket? Switzerland based right in the mountains…are 0C and below.

N1 is warmer for sure!  I can wear this M65 when it's 70F over a T. It's gotta be 55F or below for me to wear the N1.

Thanks @Paul9221 that helps. I have a really warm jacket for subzero temperature but am looking for something that fit me covered for anything between 30-55 Fahrenheit, so the N1 sounds good.

So, finally I was able to get some around 3 to 4 cm of extension that I was much in need of on the sleeves of my M-65. I'm not afraid of the winter anymore.

Those XL shirts, are they IH? If so I wear an L in these over XL shirts by Iron Heart. It is snug but works.

Yes, XL in IR shirt… and in most made in japan stuff, even XXLin some (UES).
