Yeah, i've had one for a few years. It's well built and ages well. It's simple and small.
If you live in a hot climate you might have an issue with your back getting sweaty because it's waxed.

@popvulture In the most recent newsletter, Ship John said they are not taking deposits this month. It will be back though since the Wills is one of the staples of their collection. I cannot wait for the Langlitz I have on order.

Cool! About how long did it take you to get your Willis from deposit to receipt? I imagine I won't be able to wear it until next year haha. Who knows.

@popvulture I believe I ordered mine near the end of July and it arrived at the end of September. The 8-12 week production time was right on schedule. I got lucky!

Mine was a little longer… I ordered in the March run(I believe early March?) and received mine sept. 13th
I know they are trying very hard to keep on the 8-12 week schedule.
I may or may not try for another one depending on colors offered [emoji23][emoji23]

Anyone else planning on grabbing one of those upcoming Hopkins jackets? The green one looks so good with the brass buttons.
I’m thinking really hard about it. That olive/loden green is my ideal color for a wool coat. I actually really like the waxed canvas one with the wool lining, but I don’t want a black one. Still, I think I’ll be in the minority there - I’ve checked it out and it’s really nice in person. It’s something that I’ve been personally asking for (a lined Ramblin’ / Hopkins Jacket), but the green wool Hopkins caught my eye, and I can’t have em all.

I feel the same way. Not a huge fan of the black for myself but its a nice piece. Heavily considering getting the green wool one, just not sure if its practical with having 3 messy kids around hah

I love that olive Dehen deck jacket, but man, that's a big chunk of change!

The hefty price comes from the fact that it is basically a leather jacket wrapped in waxed canvas. The animal hide with the wool is in the jacket itself.. not just the fibers. Still super expensive…but oh, so nice!
