IHSH-297-IND - Blanket Lined Denim CPO Shirt
-
One final update for now. So as not to turn this thread into the neurotic filthy shrinkage thread…
Hair dryer shut itself off. So I just put the shirt on the back of a chair right side out in front of the A/C. I don't notice any of the adverse effects McClain had mentioned previously. I would like to get a little more shrinkage so I might hot wash it and run it through the dryer eventually. But I will be in West Virginia as least 18 more days.
Thanks everyone, it was fun.

Thanks, but no thanks.

Your DIY dryer has me cackling @Filthy
I imagine you laying on the bed with the TV volume way up to cover the sound of the hair dryer periodically opening the door to feel how damp the fabric is… At least that's what I would be doing.

Thanks, but no thanks.
Hey Filthy you happy with the up size? Been really debating doing the same. Usually wear a medium in every IH shirt I own but want to wear this as a coat/jacket as well over a hoodie. Reason I ask is I want to upgrade the snaps on it and can’t send back if it’s not good

I bought the black sample in L and I take an XL in everything else. I use it as a shirt and it fits great. I’d go XL to get a hoodie or a flannel under it.

Yeah I am happy I got a bigger size. And it seems like you can expect normal shirt shrinkage of almost an inch out of the length and pit to pit with a hot wash or a trip through the dryer. Also the liner in about a quarter inch thick, so you can subtract an half an inch from the internal shirt dimensions. The shirt is measured on the exterior but the liner makes it smaller on the inside @LeDuc_RW

Kinda what I was thinking. A medium UHF is about spot on with being careful washing it. Figured if I got a large i wouldn’t have to worry about shrinkage on it, would actually want a bit I’d think.

Picked this up at SEPDX today. XXXL planning to hot wash and dry this thing. After my birthday (10/22) of course, it is a gift from my wife.

I made arrangements with someone to do laundry at their house so I could wash my shirt in the washer. (Don't ask
)
And I ran this through a full hot cycle, full spin, and a full hour in the dryer, on the hottest temperature possible.
I'm pleased that I didn't get any streaks or marbling or anything crazy.
Much like what @mclaincausey was saying I got a little bit of droop along the bottom hem. Nothing major. (Sorry I just realized I was misspelling your name :/)
I got some shrinkage out of the cuffs (was what I was really hoping for).
And lots of cool puckering and roping all over
I did get well over an inch of shrinkage in pit to pit. And @Paul9221 was right about the sleeve length being sus, because they now measure 27.2 instead of 27…
Final measurements:
PTP 26
️ 24.8
Sleeve opening 5.1️ 4.6
Sleeve length 28️ 27.2
Body length 32️ 31.5

This is awesome! Thanks Mike.
Looking forward to doing the same with mine.I think the droop, puckering and roping is rad and will add to the way the shirt ages

Got mine in today and wow, like every piece ya get but this one is amazing. I followed filthy and got a size bigger. Washed mine tonight hot in the washer/dryer and shrunk to the perfect size. Great over a UHF and can wear a hoodie comfortable under too. Gonna use mine more as a jacket as well. Thanks IH for bringing us killer pieces to wear! Even looks killer in basketball shorts -
Looks great bro.

Feels even better, the 8oz denim definitely adds a different comfort level to it.
-
Yeah it's great. I really appreciate IH making this shirt.
