IHSH-297-IND - Blanket Lined Denim CPO Shirt
-
Funny you should say that
-
My package has arrived. I can easily say that I will enjoy this way more than a PS5
also this stuff is once in a lifetime and a PS5 can be gotten again with a little effort.
I am quite blown away by the bulk and heaviness of this shirt. And the lightweight denim is so good and soft.
I sized up on this shirt so I can wash it and put it in the dryer and not worry about it shrinking too small and I can layer over stuff. My intention is to wear it like a jacket.
-
Great pickup Mike. I'm stoked to see you beat this one up
-
Thanks. This shirt is so good. It far exceeded my expectations.

Aren't they great! I'm so in love with my black one, that the indigo version seems necessary too. What a brilliant, counterintuitive idea to make a lined CPO out of such light denim, and still come up with a truly "Iron" shirt.
-
Yeah it's freaking great. I absolutely love it.
-
I was talking to Brock about the sizing on this shirt. So I am doing a shrinkage test. This hotel has water that is near boiling.
Time for a little 'Hot Water Music'
-
Nice you beat me to it Mike….
Has anyone else done an kind of shrink test?
I want to be able to wash and dry without worry too…I’m leaning towards grabbing an XXL

I'm going to go get shit faced and I will report back to you in a couple hours
-
I'll be interested to see how something with that many different fabrics and insulation reacts to a hot soak. It seems like you could get some rippling and other effects if the various fabrics shrink at different rates.
-
Yes that was a consideration. But I am doing this for a dear friend and for science.
-
"for science" certainly gives it an air of importance. @Filthy has to walk so all of us can run
-
-
@Filthy is always good like that, DIY master who DGAF and helps his friends.
I would have gotten one of these if I didn't have the IHSH-49. I think everyone should have a blanket-lined IH Western. They're rad. And this one looks very similar to the old 49, same denim weight and perhaps a couple shades darker denim.
-
We briefly discussed the possibilities of a trip through the hotel dryer. But I am afeared of possible potential rouge curly-whirlies. So that will have to wait until I go home. I only use public laundry in an utter emergency.
-
I am a live in the moment kind of dude so you have seize every opportunity.

Okay folks after one hot soak for a couple hours, I got:
Ptp 26
️ 25.6
Sleeve opening 5.1
️ 4.8
Sleeve length 28
️ 27
Body length 32
️ 31.5
Shirt is still wet, but the shrinkage is evident by the amount of roping I got on the cuffs and hem.

Using a hair dryer in the closet to make a makeshift dryer.
