Those shirt measurements look like an IH medium, which is what I usually wear. I don’t have this type III, but I own other IH type IIIs in medium, and large. Both work fine over flannels, but the large is a little loose when worn with a T.

        Thanks sabergirl and neph93 !

The shirt I’m referencing is an iron heart medium, good eye! I’m working with Adam to figure out what would work best for me but good to know what works for others.  I’m 5’10” and about 180 but I have narrow shoulders.  Never had a properly fitting denim jacket before so I’m a bit gun shy about the sizing.

Based on the above I’d suggest medium, large if you want more length and room for layering.

Thinking of getting an L. If the opening, at 18.3, is smaller than the opening on a M Storm Rider, which is 19.7 (and that is snug when the bottom button is done up), is this mitigated by this in L being 1.4 inches shorter than the SR…….? Sorry to sound a pedant. Cheers.

Not at all, that is a very pertinent question and absolutely one of the things this place is for.

That being said I’m finding it difficult to answer as I don’t have a storm rider. Best guess is that yes it will make a positive difference, but that will also depend on body shape to a degree.

The IH-526-22OD is a traditonal cut so is intended to be worn higher on the body and arguably closer to the body than the lined, modified storm rider.

Both fine choices. The IH-2562 is on my list also. I owned one a size too big a while ago and miss having it in the arsenal.

If you don’t mind me asking, how did you change your button on the left flap? I got some pins ready to be adorned, but also interested to see if I can change the buttons with something else

                                        Cheers

Of course I don’t mind. Sharing info on the good stuff is why we’re here [emoji3526]

The button hasn’t been changed. It is a Good Art Boutonnière. They clip on to buttonholes as a faux button.

Here’s my previous jacket that I’m going to be semi-retiring: https://imgur.com/a/rYNctl5/

I picked up a GH large rosette boutonniere from a member here and had a question for those that run boutonnieres. Wondering if it’s suppose to be off center? See pics below; the boutonniere does not fit over the button exactly. Am i suppose to bend it, or does one have to secure it with thread?
