Thanks! Should they feel super tight in the waist when first breaking them in?

Super tight is kind of relative and subjective. The 777 top block is quite trim so they may be too small. And you may struggle to get them comfy. Impossible to say without a picture.

@Yury Dmitrenko congratulations! Let us know how it goes.

          Hey!
I didn’t manage to immediately share my impressions of the new 777S-142. I won't write much now. The package traveled across Russia painfully for a long time, plus the tax was torn off at the customs due to the excess of 200 euros. The fucking Russian government no longer knows how to rip off its people. Well, okay, fuck this government. My calculations for the size turned out to be correct and I made the right choice with the 777S-142. They sit just perfect. So far I only wear them around the apartment, they are now like my home pajamas. Haha. It's cold outside while I drive in XHS. A couple more weeks of spring and I will already be alternating jeans.

Excellent! Well, not the bit about customs… but I’m pleased they worked out. The pics are awesome and the fit is perfect. Roll on summer and democracy! Thanks for the report.

Gave a bunch of jeans (including these) a wash, so here are some pics in daylight 🙂

I just love the texture of these…

@Alex , @Giles , any chance of making these or any of the other 14oz fabrics in the 777 cut in a tag size 35?

Probably not, demand overall for the other 14oz denims is way behind the demand for the OG version….Sorry

Hey all - I've worn these every other day now since February….still not much stretch. I got them tight and they are still the same tightness. My weight is the same as it was 3 months ago and just curious if anyone might have some advice to get another inch or so?

Is it the waist that is tight or the thigh as well? If the former, you could try various stretching methods. My favourite is using a car jack and a block of 2x4. You need to be very careful not to bust the button but if you are it does the job.

It's the cut of the top block, not just the waistband. I had to give up on them. The weave is unyielding.

They will stretch, but not easily and not without  some exposure to water.

My first soak scared me, but after a few more, the stretch after a soak is almost immediate.

That's amazing, haha! It's just the waistband that goes around. It's fine when I am upright, but while sitting I definitely notice it. Even have had days with sore hips after wearing these, haha! Sounds like I need to get them wet and then put them on to hopefully stretch them.

They fit perfectly otherwise and I love the cut.

That’s the key, soak the waist band and then give them a good stretching while wet - if you can, let them dry in the stretcher 🙂

Ok cool, final question….what should the water temp be?

Really doesn’t matter. It is the lubrication of the threads that is important, not the temps. Lukewarm straight from the tap will be fine.
