Closet looks a little bare. Might need to pad it out a little [emoji23]

I just bought a house with cash so the closet may have to wait.  😢

I wish I could get back some of the stuff I let go to thin the herd prior to the trip.  08,86, 87!, 91, 106, lots of T-shirt’s.  😞

I let my 68 go because I thought the wabash CPO would be extant.  Sadly that wasn’t the case.  I do have a used 21 on the way so that’s something.  🙂

While my new closet is coming along nicely, my nightstand game needs work…

Congrats on closing @Matt!  Thanks again for taking us along on your adventures, I'll definitely have to reference back and take some notes next time I'm anywhere near y'all's travel route.

A most remarkable thread @Matt ! A real pleasure to travel alongside your family - a really looked forward to updates every day in order to escape the dreary tedium of non-stop Zoom calls and not traveling anywhere.

Thank you to you and your family for allowing us to virtually accompany you all on this adventure!

I’m in a bit of a pickle and I’m soliciting some casual advice.  Since embarking on our journey I’ve lost about 20 pounds.  I attribute this to a combination of an active lifestyle and the almost total removal of unnecessary sugar from my diet.  That said, my pants and belts don’t fit well.  While I am appreciating the fitness, I’m stuck with the conundrum of not really being in a position to buy new pants and I don’t really want to try to trade the ones I’ve become attached to.  Anyone run into an issue like this?

The moral here is that’s if you’re looking to shed some quarantine weight I highly recommend selling all your shit and driving around with your kids for a year.  Apparently it’s that simple.

I'd gladly send you the 20 pounds I accumulated during Covid. Apparently, being a boredom snacker working from home with easy access to junk food and entirely eliminating exercise causes this.

I suppose if you have the opportunity, you could give that a shot.

Thank you.  I’ll put that option on the short list.

I’m also a boredom snacker and I love sweets.  They are not allowed in the house any more.

The Sandias are our local mountain range.  About 10,000’.  Visible from anywhere in the area.  The Sandia  Peak Tramway carries visitors to the peak where you’ll find some trails, a fine dining restaurant and ski slopes down the backside…

There’s a hike up there called the TWA hike.  7 miles leading to a 1955 plane crash.  You can see some of the debris from the tram.  Nothing an iPhone would have noticed.  I’ll definitely be back for that.

Any idea about the reason for the name, Sandia? In spanish it means watermelon…wondering if there is any link.

                                          The journey is the objective.
