Matt's New Mexico (Formerly Airstream) Adventure

They sent me home with an oxy to get me through the night and I can pick up some more tomorrow.  Hopefully I can drift off now and get some sleep.  Night everyone.

Blimey…....I passed one once, the walls of the bathroom were covered in blood.  I was a little scared....

My mate had two, in short intervals even. First time he was driving on the highway when the pain kicked in. Apparently thàt was a lot of fun!..

All good this morning.  I, unfortunately, have a genetic predisposition.  Both my parents get them.  This is my fourth go around since 97.  By far the worst though.  At the end of the day Im just thankful that I have a new prescription for some rainy day narcotics.

And I was all about that 277 yesterday too.  Real glad I didn’t throw up on it.

Side note - hospital staff give you the weirdest looks when you  tell them they can’t bill insurance, you’re unemployed and you live in a trailer.

Good to hear you’re doing better.  The first stone I ever passed caused me to assume the fetal position, cry like a baby, and vomit because of the pain.  Then as Giles mentioned the blood is just a whole other level of stress.

I hate those little bastards!!

Right.  The pain induced vomiting is a wake up call.  About 70% of my body has been tattooed  and I’ve never come close to feeling pain like kidney stones.  I got stuck driving home from work years ago with one and that was traumatic.

Glad to hear my IH brothers and sisters are here for me with stories of their own.  On the bright side Katie took the girls out and I’m in bed all hopped up on goofballs eating gummy cola bottles  and watching Avengers.  Could be worse.

Overheard in the Airstream…

9 yr old:  I can’t wait to get to middle school when I might like roller coasters and get real woman body parts. 
7 yr old:  Yeah, like hips and a thorax. 
9 yr old:  No dummy, my boobs!
7 yr old:  :o

Points to the 7 year old for use of thorax.

Sorry about the stone, too.  I had one about 5 years ago, complete with peeing blood. Not cool.

Best of luck to you, I had one about 5 1/2 years ago, and to this day, it is the worst pain I have endured, which lasted about 5 days, and passed about a day before they were going to blast it out. If I knew you all better I would tell the whole story.

My TW-666N smell just a little bit like throw up from Thursday but I’m not quite ready to wash them yet.  They look ok so I’m going to just spend some time outside.  Don’t judge me.

I’ve heard Arizona compared to biblical locales before.  Heaven was not one of them.

I was reading some Mormon literature before and they had a version of Heaven something akin to those pictures. This might be where I am getting the sentimentality from.

But as I type this I realize you are most likely being sarcastic and probably mean something more hellish perhaps.

Phoenix is pretty far from heaven in every possible sense.

But I’m from Baltimore so I know a thing or two about the circles of Hell.

Placed an offer on a 4 br 2 ba in NM near Albuquerque on Sat.  Offer accepted on Sun.  Stepped foot in NM for the first time today.  We just visited the house with the realtor.  Fortunately we made a good choice.

This is going to affect our travel plans moving forward but I’m not sure how exactly.  I’ll keep you all posted.
