Just bought this jacket. It arrives tomorrow. Can't wait!

I like this denim for both jackets and shirts.let us know how you get on with it.

I also got this jacket. The fabric is amazing, and aging will be wonderful. It has quite a narrow cut, different to my IH corduroy, so I sized up, gave it a hot wash and now it fits good for me.

Opinion on the fit of this. Disregard my awful photo taking skills. I think it's a tad tight. Buttoning it up over a light flannel is snug.

How do you plan to mostly wear it? Over a flannel it may be snug, but will you mainly be wearing over a TShirt? If so, it’s probably spot on for a lighter weight T3

Was thinking of layering with it. Maybe a sweater or hoodie underneath. Or am I better off wearing it with a t shirt and using something else for colder weather?

You may want to size up, if you want to layer comfortably.

Type III’s are supposed to be tight. That one looks perfect over a thin layer (length/shoulders/arms), but size up for sure, if you want to layer.

I’m XL in IH shirts an have an XXL for layering and XL’s and L’s for snug fits over one layer.

I'm relieved but not surprised to find out how many of us keep shirts and jackets in more than one size for layerings.  I mean, I wouldn't dare try to explain this to my wife and thank the gods she doesn't read this Forum.

Thanks! Yeah it's pretty snug. I was historically a medium but my back has broadened.

Mine arrived today and it’s a beautiful jacket! Sized up to an XL (normally a L in shirts) but worried it may be a touch large.

Has anyone managed to get any shrinkage out of this?

@simmosn I wanted this jacket, but knew from measurements that I wouldn't get into my usual size (XL).
So I got a XXL which has the perfect chest size for me, but shoulders and sleeves somewhat too wide/long.

Washed it once with 90°C (inside out, no spin).
That crushed the leather patch, but the jacket fits well now.

The shoulders are (were) perhaps marginally too wide but not enough that anyone would notice without you drawing attention to it.

I really like the look of this jacket. It's underrated in my opinion.

Absolutely agree, @going_to_battle , the shoulders could be less wide.
But I wanted this for layering. I also have a corduroy Type III one size below which I wear in summer.
This fit here is a compromise.
However, it is a wonderful material and I'm very much looking forward to its evolution.
