"Papa Nui without an angle is like Betty Grable without curves! So in his latest exploits, the South Pacific’s Ace of Caps develops a new boonie hat. Borrowing from his jungle- hut house boy and Nipponese Cinderella, Fujiwara Takeo, the Papa takes his man- servants’ IJA issued brimmed hat and reinvents this rare acquistion in Japanese milled twill cotton and adds all the oriental flavor of the original including Fuji’s name printed on the inside and a beautiful hang tag bearing the Hino Maru and ‘Buun cho kyo’, declaring, “continued luck in the fortunes of war”."
