I feel the better team on the pitch lost today, though I’ll freely admit a bias for England. Was hoping they would win the Cup.
Great game to both.
With England out, I’ll hop on the Croatian bandwagon now.

the ref was utter shite! some decisions in the first half that would've changed the game. bloke must've been watching another game.

I hope Argentina wins the championship atleast for the legend Messi. England would have been a tough contender. They were simply better yesterday against France.

Best soccer match I’ve ever seen even if decided on PKs, which I dislike (sue me, I’m golden goal partisan—in a sport where initial possession means so little and scoring is so sparse, it’s a no-brainer to me. Football is a beautiful game, PKs entertaining but more of a skills challenge than a game IMO. It’s kind of a struggle for me because a game like this deserves to go to the very end, too).
Congratulations to both deserving teams. Good to see Messi add to his legacy.
Obligatory: fuck FIFA. I wish there were a more deserving steward of this game.

Definitely the best of the best. Just at the moment when an Argentinian win was going to happen, France came back, not once but twice. For a legend like Messi, this is how it should end. Congratulations Argentina.

A GG would’ve gotten us past Belgium in 2014 so I’ll admit my bias @Seul
I do understand how it and silver goals played out and why they moved from them but it just seems like a more rational way to fairly determine the better football team.
I will rotate on whether I will deign to pay FIFA to attend a 2026 match from now until then.
