One more item being added to my obsession, just ordered this after seeing a hickory stripe western, well faded, in the wild. Wasn't Iron Heart, but definitely made me realize I need one.

Hard to photograph but the armpits have turned into a blue stained mess. Had it about a year, maybe 20-30 wears and a few washes. Not the “evo” I was hoping for. I’m a way above average, pretty much constant armpit sweater and this same thing has happened to my shipjohn patton shirt in fisher stripe. Basically anything with white next to indigo seems especially susceptible. So it’s not a knock on IH at all. In fact I still love the shirt and wear it all the time. I just try to remember not to raise my arms when I have it on. Something to keep in my if you’re sweaty like me.

I have this. Been wearing it to work on and off for two years. Love the hickory stripe but it can give you a headache if you look at it closely. The fading potential is limited for sure. I wash the crap out of it too.

Could this be worn with tie?

Well, technically yes. It is though not a dress shirt at all. Don’t know what you intend to wear it to, you are fine wearing it with chinos on a casual Friday but I would never wear it with a suit. I would say it depends on the occasion, but for me a no to the tie.

I was thinking with with paisley tie and denim jacket.
