Yep. After 27 years of motorcycling I’d grown bored. I decided i needed something completely impractical to reignite my passion. So far so good. Plus my dog loves it.

Glad your mentioning it. I haven’t lost passion in riding yet, but I always want to go on a ride with my best four legged buddy.
Would love to hear how it works for you and your dog. Pictures would be nice as well.

@Bfd70 I've always thought a sidecar would be awesome, but have never ridden with one.  What is it like?  Does it change the dynamics?

I would imagine it being more like a trike and loosing the agility and obviously no leaning.

Totally changes the dynamic. Ride a bike, drive a side car. No leaning. No counter steering. Turns, particularly right handers (assuming hack is on the right) need to be taken cautiously. 100 miles to get pretty comfortable and 200 to be very comfortable. The set up is quirky and unrefined. I love it.

do you go with the sandbag in the sidecar strategy to help with balance?  😃

We have a pair and currently he is training on wearing them. However, to be honest I don’t think he needs them. The side car has a windshield he can duck his head under when he needs a break. Beyond that it’s like all other dogs hanging their head out the car window.

Been quite hot here (85-95F) with high humidity but yesterday was a quick shot down the interstate to downtown Richmond. Always a great day when you can ride for even a bit.

Looking sweet, @Dmart . I'm in total agreement with Jett. Those spokes are fantastic. When you posted last fall, I found myself shopping for a set. Along the way, I came across a 20 spoke forged billet wheel I love. The plan is to add those, next spring…
