A WAYWT pick from a while ago of me in the schott perfecto I got for my 18th birthday

SOLD
The jacket is a replica of the first motorcycle jacket made by Schott in 1928, named Perfecto after his favourite cigars ! I'll post more pics in a little while.~~~~~~~~ Only available online on their website. "The jacket has undergone a top secret vintaging process to give it that broken in feel right out of the special edition Perfecto box. Made in the USA." The leather is heavy horsehide, it comes with original box, Schott hanger and hangtags. I was so excited when it came out of the box that I removed the tags before I realized it was one size too big for me. Bad luck ! 'cos once the tags were off, Schott refused the return. here are the actual measurments for this XL jacket: Armpit/armpit: 26" Bottom of jacket, side seam to side seam: 24" Back Length: 27" Shoulder: 20-1/2" Sleeve 26-1/2" As you can see here: [http://www.schottnyc.com/products/other/made-in-usa/vintaged-d-pocket-perfecto.htm](http://www.schottnyc.com/products/other/made-in-usa/vintaged-d-pocket-perfecto.htm) it retails at $935 without shipping and taxes. I am selling this one for $750 plus shipping from France to anywhere. (contact me for shipping charges to your country) Payment through Paypal. -

Here’s the back.

Thinking I’m going to do it

Lol! Just saw that autocorrect. My mom actually told me about it. I figured a few of you would like it.

Picked up a Schott Perfecto 118. Fit is PERFECT in the arms and shoulders, and even when zipped up. I just can't decide if it's too short for how I want to wear it. Wish it was just maybe 2-3" longer.

Looks good with a shirt tucked in, but I mostly want a throw on and go jacket without having to tuck my tee in.
-
Yea, I love the fit and feel of it, so I'll keep it for now. I'll keep an eye out for a used 626 or something with a longer body. This tee is a little longer since it has the curved hem. Most of my tees are like this (Buck Mason curved hem slub tee).
-
@chrisjohnnick i think it looks great dude. I had to get used to the length of my schott also but I love this one on you with the shirt untucked

Whats everyone’s take on the quality of Schott Leather jackets? I’m starting the hunt for my first leather jacket. Trying to get a feel for the quality of some of the makers out there. I know there are much higher end makers, but Schott has been around that’s for sure. So any insights on Schott would be welcome.

SchottI think in many ways Schott makes a good product.
Each brand has plusses and minuses. I suppose the question is what do you prioritize in a jacket? Custom measurements, leather options, style options, perfect stitching, customer experience…..
I suppose for you the reason I would advocate FOR Schott is that the have many designs ready made. You can order a few, try them on and see what works for you IRL. While companies like Aero make a good custom product, for your first time out before handling different hides and learning what #s work for you (leather drapes less and doesn’t give), it may not be wise to design a jacket, wait 3 months, and then be dissatisfied sith the results. You then get to sell it for (if your lucky) 66% of new. I’d either buy from an OTR OR THE ROBUST 2nd hand market. -
I really like Schott jackets but , unfortunately, I don't fit well into their Large or Xl. I've got longer arms and their jacket sleeves tend to be a bit on the shorter side. Their models that are sized in 40, 42, 44 etc can be ordered in "long" sizes which is great. Unfortunately, only a few models are made now in those sizes. I think for the price, they are great jackets and I wish I could fit into them as there are lots of great ones on the 2nd hand market.

Found time to visit their Canal Street store when I was in New York (no time for Self Edge sadly). I went in set on buying a 613, but it barely reached my navel. Luckily 118L fit better

I was at Schott yesterday and found this beauty. Reminded me of the MRMF. Made with Horween CXL. I’ve never been a double rider guy, but I can’t get this one out of my head.
Curious if anyone bought it, and has broken it in?

-
New pickup! This one is in a black cherry/burgundy horsehide from Horween. Much softer than I expected.
