@Geo:
yeah El, it's the statesman - i had tried them on here in uk, a while back but then couldn't get my size - so nameness stepped in to help out (amazing guy - going straight to No.1 on the Heroes board)
the pictures don't do them justice . . . quality is well beyond any other glasses I have tried (Mikli, ic! Berlin, Tom Ford, Moscot etc . . . although I'd be happy to recommend any of those!) - only other brands I have been equally impressed with are Kaneko Optical & Effector . . . and they are as rare as hen's teeth - at least here in the EU!
downside is there are very limited number of outlets selling them - i think they are carefully controlled by Dita
there are a few brands that make similar styles for a bit less cash if that's what you're after . . . Shuron and Moscot have a lovely vintage feel . . . JimmyC and Monday respectively could probably give a view on those, Anglo American Optical and obviously Rayban (that you posted), and as a one-off these are pretty cool too:

Hmm, so i guess i would need to be fitted. I have no idea what my size is..
I've found a couple dealers in Austin, TX. I'll be there the end of this month so I hope they have some in stock..While looking at the Dita website, my lady walked over and instantly fell in love with them. Now she has a pair picked out for herself..
I've been looking the past three days, and i keep coming back to these..

You deserve to win; for anyone that hasn't seen it, Giles & Paula have done a amazing job of sympathetically restoring a beautiful [ & enormous] 180 year old Georgian military residence. It had been abandoned for 30 years and was in seriously bad state when they purchased it. It now looks like a feature in County Life, simply beautiful!
+1 & richly deserved !

definitly a big +1
I only have seen the pics over here, but for me the great work done is very visible in them…
congrats Paula and Giles -
@ EL
also worth a look is Rolf Spectacles, very cool wooden frames…

I really really like these.. They are terribly expensive though…
But they will be on your face every day.
Someone once gave me the great piece of advice that when faced with multiple price options, for the things you touch and use and feel every single day (faucet handles, knives, glasses, shoes etc.) always get exactly what you want. You will not regret it…excellent and very true point

these are my favorite at the moment…
Still looking though..
Thanks for all the suggestions.
Hey El…I tried those on and loved them. Ended up going for a pair of Mykita Ernest though. Modern take on the Clubmaster. Matt finish instead of gloss...just preferred the look. Here's a link:

I really like them.. up for consideration..
nice poster in the background!
thx a lot mate…
same here! btw. is there a glasses-thread somewhere?
the only thing i think about is if the space between the top of the glasses and the bridge of the nose is too big (see pic!)
They look fine to me Finn..
BTW, just started a thread..

St. Patrick's Day is upon us. Proper end of the rainbow vessel:
Be safe.
Great image - gotta send to mates in Ireland. Belated Happy St Patrick's Day to all - any major Guinness-related hangovers out there?

No hangover, I only had three. We planned for our Ireland/Northern Ireland roadtrip which we're going to do over easter with a bunch of friends - 13 of us are going. It's going to be epic! We're planning to do Dublin-Belfast-Coleraine-Derry-Sligo-Dublin pretty much along the coast.
Can't wait to have several pints of Guinness in Dublin, the only place it tastes like it's supposed to!
